Yeah but the problem with eBay is that a lot of sellers sell fake stuff on it.

Got a link or name of the seller? Check if its genuine (if it has the ON hologram).

I've been using the Ultimate Nutrition 5lb, I'll rate it pretty good. Costs around Rs.5.5k on HealthKart. Now I've ordered a 4.4lb tub of MuscleBlaze Whey Isolate, for Rs.3800. Lets see how this one is.

So, Good news and bad news.

Got my season best timing of 25 mins 16 seconds - 5K.

Tried pushing the next week for a 10k - completed it in 57 mins 25 seconds (not the best time in the world, but I felt great), oh! and I did some weight training after that....AND did uphill bicycling for 3Kms :D

And here's the bad news:

I played football for 2.5 hours the other day, and pulled a whole host of muscles..it's been a feature off late. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Whenever I play football, I pull a lot of muscles and am limping for the next couple of days. But the 2.5 hour match really took a toll. I feel comfortable running, but not football....started feeling bad in the back as well after today's match :/

pulling muscle while playing football is very common.. happens to the best of football player. reason for player being side lined for weeks. Having said that you should definitely visit a physio to determine how bad your injury is. Might even be a complete rupture. So for now, completely stop running or playing anything. Rest.

Not gonna happen! :P

I'm planning to check with a physio as soon depending on how well it progresses in the next couple of weeks. :/

Hydration is not an issue. I keep myself well hydrated. However, warm up is a big issue. I try to warm up but get pulled in too soon. Plus playing at ambient temp of 3 degree Celsius doesn't help much.

Thanks guys. Also, I was talking to a couple of guys who train for 'distance runs' and they reported a very similar problem while playing football. Both agreed that careful warm up and increased sprint training could help. But the consensus was that distance running training and football don't go hand in hand. :(

Yo hemanth bro, how are you now? Consulted physio?

Also I've been running a lot since last 2-3 weeks. 40-45min on treadmil, 6times a week. Been getting a lot of pain in shin/calf area. Leg day sucks because of this. You're a professional in this dept. :P Any remedies?

Getting better mate, restricted to 'not timed' 5K runs these days (still under 30Mins :P)

And about your pain, it's usually normal for anyone who hasn't run that much in a long time. Keep at it and your muscles should get used to it.

This holds true not just for running, but for any new activity you take up.

Also, about leg days taking a toll because of this. Ask yourself this question, "Why am I training my legs?" To me the answer is that I train my legs to run..meaning I reap my benefits of leg training during my running sessions. So, I train accordingly.....as per my requirements (sprint runs, long runs, mountain trail runs, hike, etc.). It's not a philosophy, but just a perspective.
