While the city setting is nice, the tracks end up looking too similar. We need atleast some different settings to make the tracks feel distinct. GRID did a decent job in this regard, and NFS:UC would have been the better for it.

Somehow, I wasn't a big fan of Most Wanted. It was good, but not spectacular. (Don't kill me for it, folks)

Looking at the screens for Undercover, I'm inclined to think that this game will have a MW hangover.

But, all said and done, its a new NFS and that in itself, is exciting enough...

MW was the best i've played.. nfs II is my all time fav :P

Carbon wasn't that good, not that i had any problem racing at night.. but there's no substitute for the adrenaline rush you have when the police squad are chasing you all over the city :P

The next installment in the Need for Speed franchise, namely Undercover, will hit the streets on November 18th. Actor Maggie Q has been named as the game's star.

Today, EA officially announced Need for Speed Undercover for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, Wii, Nintendo DS, PC, and mobile devices. True to Riccitiello's word, the street racer will feature a number of live-action cutscene sequences, and the publisher has secured the talents of starlet Maggie Q (Balls of Fury, Mission Impossible III) to lead its efforts. Ms. Q will play the role of Agent Chase Linh, who oversees players as they infiltrate the underground racing scene to upend an international crime syndicate.

As noted by Riccitiello, Undercover will feature gameplay that resembles 2005's NFS: Most Wanted, emphasizing car chases, underground racing, and highway battles. The shift in direction, according to Riccitiello, was possible because EA's Vancouver-based Black Box is no longer being "tortured" by a one-year development cycle. GameSpot will have its first impressions of the retooled racer next Wednesday

Are there any intresting additions with this one? Its kinda getting stale these days...

the collision with incoming traffic looked a bit sad to be honest there were no splinters flying from the cars and the only thing that showed there was a crash was a dismantled front end of the driver car and it still kept going :( .....the crash physics were as good as midtown madness if there is anything to judge from that short clip but i hope to be corrected if my spectacles wearing eyes couldnt capture what most of you thought it looked like, anyways its too early to comment as there are no official gameplay footage yet from EA so ill reserve the comments for some other time.

cheers.
