Exploration in NMS style game is only fun when you are doing with a friend not alone. Minecraft is fun with other people not solo. My cousins' 8 year old kid has clocked over 400 hours of Minecraft at least, all ALONE! He watches streams and YouTube vids of it for inspiration to play more. On the IPad btw.
