Another scandal or two will do the trick though If he is from the school of Peter Molyneux school of management, I think he will live. Although I do not see how Hello Games is to be blamed wholly for the fiasco. They are man, trust me. These conscious marketing choices are more of a honor among thieves in the game dev community. So many indie and AA devs that die out, could have adopted the strategy of lie-sell-sorry-repeat and stay afloat. They don't do it as game development is a very consumer dependent industry. Sadly, it is big enough to accommodate a lot of shady stuff. The conscious marketing choices that Hello Games made, allowed them to sell a 30$ AA game as 60$ AAA game with free marketing equivalent to millions of what other AAA publisher do. If Hello Games aren't make an example of, it will very well set a very bad precedent that will be hard to get rid off. Just see mobile and the freemium curse I'm gonna miss Joe Cool.
