Black_Hawk
Almost nearing the game now I feel... I hadn't played the original version of the game so enjoying the play-through currently a lot. So far the puzzles haven't given me a huge headache except the back-tracking that is required but that is expected from a RE game, LoL!
WhiteWolf
Have you tried making VJOLT ? That sh*t is super confusing... Black hawk How come you have over 200 grenade launcher shells ? PC par khelney ka yehi faayeda hai kyun? LOL Why you removed that screenshot

Black_Hawk
Completed the game!! Really enjoyed playing through it and since as I mentioned earlier in this thread I had not played the first version of the game it was extra bit riveting. The atmosphere, lighting effects were really great with the remake, engrossing stuff. I played as Jill and took nearly 8hours and 36minutes to complete the game... took my time with it searching every nook and corner of the maps for stuff and readable files. My only gripe with the game is sometimes the camera angles act messed up, rarely though so it wasn't a joy kill at all. Regarding Barry I have a question to anyone who has completed the game: At the Lisa boss fight when Barry asks for his gun back I chose 'yes' and gave his gun to him (mainly because except for the one instance where he abandoned Jill in an elevator he was always of help leaving behind ammo and weapons and also fixing broken doorknobs!). After I had Jill give him his gun back he nicely helped me out in the Lisa fight as well. Now my question is what happens if you chose 'No' and decide not to hand his gun over to him? You shouldn't have given barry his gun esp if you are on 1st play through Its the most powerful gun(magnum) on your 1st run If you choose no then Barry gets knocked into the hole below by that tentacle boss, dropping a picture of his daughter and wife and dies
HotSonix
^^That magnum is a one shot kill for all of the game bosses except T-002 Tyrant's second form and yes you can one shot kill Plant42 so no Vjolt making and wasting your time

WhiteWolf
Killing Barry results in a bad ending...Saving Barry and Chris(by collecting all MO Disks and opening security door) and destroying house = Good/Best ending You shouldn't have given barry his gun esp if you are on 1st play through Its the most powerful gun(magnum) on your 1st run You can't reload Barry's Gun plus it only has 6 ammo...:| And i don't think Black_hawk needs that gun coz he is already using Grenade Launcher with over 200 grenade shells

IshmaelIsBack
Nice to know there's some activity in this thread. Glad that you all played this. I'd buy this again on all platforms just for support. Got too much of a backlog and too little time. Abey invisible mode toh bahut tough hai :| It's exactly what they want you to think. IE mode does nothing but...invisibility. No AI buff, nothing. All you have to do is memorize strafe patterns / patrol routes. At the very least you'll die to hunter's OHK if you're on caution / red caution. So mind your distance while on a same lane. Also, all BH games before 4 have closed design worlds. What this does is making corners tighter. Learn to cut around all enemytypes instead of shooting them. If you've aggro'd a zombie/hunter go back into the room you came from (loading) and come back in. It resets their position so you can practice. Saves time and ammo. There are also some very easy mockups for IE mode like fog / footsteps etc which give away their position and their state. Even Real Survival doesn't have enemy buff, but your character takes more damage. Fine > Red Caution in one hit etc. But it jacks up the difficulty organically by playing around mechanics like auto-aim being removed and the main aspect of it, item boxes are not linked, i.e. mansion item boxes won't have the items you stored at the lab for instance. But its easy since all you're doing here is playing the same AI, just that your character's damage model has been tweaked . i.e. you should avoid damage. 5 hours is nothing for a Biohazard game. You'd be doing under 4 on your Chris playthrough next, under 3 even and I won't be surprised. There's a reason you have unlockables for. Do under 3 hours and you get the infinite rocket launcher (standard for all Biohazard games before 4, some had to be done under 5. IIRC it was CV/CVX) Usually remake speedruns average around 1 hour and 38 mins for Chris and 1 hour 25 mins for Jill. Give and take a few secs here and there as to loading times. Learn some advanced game mechanics like stairskating, baitforwarding etc. It will significantly save you a LOT of time and ammo and eventually you'll get better at the game. Have you tried making VJOLT ? That sh*t is super confusing... Black hawk How come you have over 200 grenade launcher shells ? PC par khelney ka yehi faayeda hai kyun? LOL Why you removed that screenshot Forget V-JOLT when you start so that you don't get confused. Think that your objective here is to make VP-017 as when it's mixed with another UMB No.3, gives you V-JOLT. Take water and mix with UMB No.3 to get NP-004. Combine that with a Yellow-6 to get UMB No.10. Take water again and combine with another Yellow-6, and get UMB No.7. Now combine the first made UMB No.10 with the new UMB No.7 to get VP-017. Combine that again with a UMB No.3 and you get V-JOLT. If you break it down and forget the chemicals, it's just pure math / numbers basically. Check the instructions on the wall beside the door for calculations and the file you got from the bookshelf for brief combinations. And LOL at 200 nade shells, he's using the item box nade glitch. Hey black_hawk, just to let you know, that glitch works for incendiary grenades as well But WTF Capcom, they just ported the same f**king code without altering any of these issues ? Aaah... damn didn't know that! That VJOLT making was really confusing to go about. I guess Barry lived so I feel better in that regard, LoL! You got the best ending, assuming you saved Chris as well from the cell before T-002. We guys used to do knife-only runs on real survivor during the GCN release, on a daily basis. Something like this. A friend of mine was doing his virgin knife-only / no save run. The rest of us wanted to watch a world cup game (he was at T-002, first encounter) between India & Pakistan so we quietly turned the power down and back up. He went nuts for a whole week as he couldn't prove to everyone else that he at least got to the lab, because no saves Will Barry's gun carry over to new game if i don't use all bullets? Nopes. You'll unlock the Samurai Edge if you've completed under 5 hours and the rocket launcher if it's under 3 hours. Go for Chris now. But don't use the Samurai Edge. It takes the fun away from the game. Chris takes more damage than Jill (higher HP, i.e. takes 2-3 hits more for red caution) and runs 2 frames faster. But trades in 2 item slots so it balances out. and since this is your first ever run, welcome to the REAL world of Resident Evil, not ponyfied shootbang simulator like 4 and it's shitfested sequels. How are you guys liking the game btw ?
