What's going on in this thread? Sucky camera angles? Zombies too hard?

 

And people wonder why capcom wants RE to become a shooter instead of survival horror.

camera angles really suck in this game,no doubt about it.New comers would find this extremely frustrating not to mention one can miss some of items because it was hidden from the camera.

If it wasn't for the survival horror I would have ditched this game long back

I don't mind the zombies but camera angles really make it difficult to play this game.

Maybe I'm not used to such angles any more but for me the best resident evil experience has been dead aim :P

And when they have done a remake for the second time the least you expect capcom to do is to fix the camera issue :l

The Camera is not an issue..Its by design...how can they change that...

Oh!Didn't know that it was deliberate.Thought it was perhaps due to design limitations back when this was originally released :|

 

It was actually a game-design for a more 'cinematic' and directed experience. Also, they could allocate resources (4:3 aspect ratio) and intensify the horror quotient by keeping enemies just out of your FoV.

RE5's in Lost in Nightmare DLC is quite like RE1 :P...You can play that entire DLC with fixed camera angle like RE-Remake :P

 

At least all guns in it had a laser pointer which can help us to know where we are shooting

Remake hd doesn't even has this which makes it extremely difficult to pull of head shots and conserve ammo(no auto aim)

They only changed dialogues and graphics in GC Remake..Changing Camera angles is not that easy...

You can compare it to one modern game. Any of the souls games. Just like Souls, the core game is good enough that if you comply with it's odd controls you'll find the game more rewarding.

Though souls games have more ergonomic control scheme, it's different enough to make modern gamers feel disoriented. Like REmake. :P

1996 ka game hai to 1996 mein hi usko rakhna chaiye tha.No point in making a remake of a remake if they cant iron out the limitations that were present in 1996!!

If they would have made Wolfenstein The New Order like any generic modern day 'gritty-realistic' tripe it would not work.

I know its used to scare people of and add as a element of surprise.Thank god capcom optioned the tank control,otherwise the rant in this thread would be horrific .But still they could have at least added a laser pointer to know where am I shooting.

He is absolutely right. They could have atleast provided an option to enable laser pointer. And perhaps they could have even put some more effort in and provided an option to play with different camera angles.

But atleast an option for a laser pointer.
