^^ hope it was not a spoiler, I have seen the butterfly effect.... And I hope you're referring only to the rewind feature when you say they are similar ( didn't read rest of the post after the first line)

I've too completed the first episode. Slow game, it's very teen girly type game tho. :P

Yeah plus very slow.  It lacks intense story moments that you see in WD games.

Some of the writing is a bit off (very obvious that it's Europeans trying to write how they think teenage Americans talk) but I honestly didn't find the game overly emo. The emotional beats suit the story they are trying to tell. This isn't TWD where every scene is meant to shock you more than the last. Something I got sick of in the middle of TWD S2 and never bothered with the series again.

Ya teens will probably connect more with this game, for me it did feel quite emo stuff. I love you, i will never leave you blah blah blah. I guess I should  stick to God of war and doom :P

Even I'm finding it difficult to connect with the story or characters .... if not for the rewind mechanic and the choice based gameplay , it would've been pretty boring.  There're many times, when I just put the headphones out and couldn't care much about what the characters have to say.  I wish they gave us a skip option (outside of rewind mechanic) !

Quite a chill game. Sometimes you just want to listen to the soundtrack and go slow.

(and even better if you could relate some stuff with your life)

One of the better games in recent years.

Different storytelling and it is supposed to be slow.

Completed Episode 2

Chloe is annoying as f**k. She wants to kick the world's a*s while smokes joint and drink liquor with a lost and found friend who is already f**ked up by their classmates and career.

Did anyone re-played it and worked on killing/making bad choices? I'm currently re-playing it and have been making all bad choices. Yet somehow all major events have been same. kzqStdw.png

Did the same thing a long time back.

The structure is kind of like doctor who, where for many choices that you make, the immediate consequences do not reflect (for the worse in this case) the true outcomes until much later, when it’s too late to do anything about it.

Spoiler

The writing is pretty smart and the design makes sure that these choices are mainly catered towards keeping chloe alive, which is the selfish end tbh.

You will end up with a very pragmatic Max by the end is what I felt by the time I ended that run. You essentially become an anti-spiderman in terms of the character goals, "with great power, comes a selfish streak" so to speak
