Tyler Posted April 3, 2017 Report Share Posted April 3, 2017 I disagree, DmC had a great combat system that was even better in the later editions of the game where they removed the color coding restrictions. Vergil played like a dream too. Sure it wasn't the old DMC but on it's own it had an amazing combat system, I've finished it on DMD mode and it was a total blast. And here by saying original, I compare it with Devil may cry 3. 2 had a very mediocre combat in my opinion. 4 was good too but 3 was the best But the combat in DMC was quite decent in itself , without comparing it to other devil may cry games. And on that note, I hope Capcom announces Devil may cry 5 this E3. The game was hinted on Reuben Langdon's resume some time back. But DMC3 is the best. Still DMC 4 should give you a better idea what DMC games were about, and not that fugly bastard child of a game called DmC. Only thing i didn't like about DMC 4 was level backtracking.Try to play DMC3 if you have PC or last gen consoles. That is the best hack and slash ever and one of the best action games ever made. It's as simple as that The things is, being a fan I understand that fanboys will criticise any changes made to their beloved series. Just open any FF7 remake thread on the net, the hate people are spewing over the new real time battle system instead of the turn based system is just mind boggling even though the gameplay shown so far is awesome and has so much more potential for awesomeness than a turn based one. Color coded enemies, terrible combos, the style meter was a f**king joke, boss battles were lame, 30 fps DMC game etc etc. It was nothing compared to old DMC games.
