Mafia II

I also started playing Mafia II recently and have finished 4 chapters. The game is pretty decent and the missions are fun. The only thing I am not liking at the moment is the way the character walks and the camera angle when he is walking.

I also am not understanding why we are seeing dialogues of Tommy of Mafia I during the load scenes. It does get me nostalgic though but don't know why they have done it. I haven't seen this happen in any of the GTA games for example as there is no story-wise connection between the two games.

The game got much better towards the end, after the prison level I mentioned in my last post.

The gameplay was still old hat, but atleast the story got was moving fast enough to keep me interested. I liked the whole drug deal thread.

The song, "All I Have To Do Is Dream" is stuck in my head. I must have listened to it like 20 times already since yesterday.

Loved the way one of those instrumental piece from the first Mafia game played in the background while you went about settling an old score for one of the families from the city of Lost Haven.

Finished the game a few minutes back and man i'm speechless. The whole game was simply awesome and I just don't know why so many people have not been satisfied by this game. This is just how a Mafia game should be. The story was simply awesome and much more detailed compared to the first game and the gameplay was really satisfying. There was not a single boring mission in the game and everything moved so fast. I never had a dull moment in this game, just like I didn't in 'The Mafia'. The scene where Vito and Joe take out Tommy Angelo is done really nicely and they do not hype it or anything. The two drive by and kill him like it's just another small task for them while only we know the real story behind the assasination; therefore justifying Angelo's statements in the first game that all one does in the Mafia is follow orders without asking why or what :majesty:.

The ending was a bit hurried I thought and the last mission was very easy even on normal difficulty, I remember 'The Mafia' being a really hard game but this one was more on the easier side. Was sad to see Joe die but that ending did leave a huge impact .

I was really satisfied with this game and I would not like to compare it with it's predecessor. 'The Mafia' was one of its kind and so is 'Mafia II'.

Glad you liked it Avishkar.

To the others: Dont listen to the haters here. They just love chasing pigeons while controlling an Eastern European illegal immigrant who handles like a tank. This is an awesome game and a beautiful experience.

Rightly said bro...

I liked Mafia because it does makes you feel like Tommy or Vito and everything good or bad happens to you...

It will make you so much immersed in the game.. I was so sad when Mafia I ended... Seemed like there is nothing left in life....Ghosh...till now I am not able find any game which made me feel like that...

Though for the guys who just want different types of guns n cars might find this boring because "IT IS NOT MADE THAT WAY!!".. :nono:

I have heard one of my friend complaining for the slower cars and old style guns comparing it to GTA... GTA is different in it's own ways... :majesty:

Mafia is story oriented with tight narration and flow... Its a beautiful experience...not go-to-streets-and-do-:bandit: ...

Totally, it was so much fun being a driver going from point A to point B, driving people around, coming back home to sleep, answering phone in undies in the morning and doing it all over again. True mafioso :clapping:
