^^Piss off. I remember having this same horseshit argument with you over Mass effect 2. I am surprised you are still unbanned.

Not that I would ever try to throw a wrench in your usual PSdefenseforce mode of operations but I couldnt help but notice that the Xbox 360 version has the same images as well.

As does the PC version.

Dear sir, please observe that the image posted by krizal is having the PS3 triangle button and is taken from the dlc which is exclusive to PS3.

I am just saying that we should not over analyze the demo since it is an old built.

Its not petty conclusions its a totally logical conclusion....I'll eat my words if the final game uses a different buffer for alpha & uses 3D foliage.

Other things...they can change, these things they can't unless they want to totally imbalance their rendering budget.

Like which big dev team ?

Anyways its being reported that the PS3 version has been ported by an even smaller Canadian team...lol

I'll answer to your post once the PC version is in my hands.

Cause at the moment no matter what I throw at you u have a fixed image about this demo in your conscience which won't change unless the real thing is out.

I watched Inception yesterday :fear:

Is it supposed to improve PhysX enabled performance or otherwise? I tried it and didn't prove much of a frame rate boost with APEX set to OFF.

It doesn't improve PhysX performance per say. It disables cloth physics for NPCs since rendering that was affecting the game's frame rate badly. Leave APEX on. Worked fine for me, especially during the start of the demo on the crowded street.

Wait, so 1 PS3 screenshot (assuming its not doctored) in a smörgåsbord of multiplatform screenshots makes it OK to pass the whole bunch of screenies off as the "final PS3 build"?

Why am I not surprised that you agree with this? :giggle:

Also to all PC users, try this tweak if you haven't already. It boosted my FPS by like 20.

Go to where you've installed the game eg (\Steam\steamapps\common\mafia ii - public demo\edit\APEX\Cloth) and delete all files in the cloth folder except for the ones starting with VIT, “m2skeleton” and “ClothRemapTable“. This will disable flowing clothes for all NPCs except for Vito giving the game a mad bump in framerate. Particle effects will remain unchanged.

Cool , will test it and see if my fps jumps to 70 from 50. :P

Played the pc version on my hd 3670 , and it looks far better than ps3 one. Getting a bit lower frame rates but thats okay as long as the game is running smooth.

@praveer , you were telling something about enabling physx only for Vito and turning for everyone else , how to do that?

2000 rs bach gaya

And repped afty for his comment :P

That triangle button screenshot is in the PC and 360 section as well, and that's from the PS3 excl DLC, common sense really. Its not a bullshot, did a 600% zoom on it, even if it was don't think they would add grass would they.

I am not saying final PS3 build, never did. I am not even getting it for the PS3. Even if the final build ends up like the demo, who cares.

Cant believe I am arguing over grass but whatever haha.

Thanks bro......now I'm finally getting above 30 FPS :P

Will we be able to do this in the full game too?

Also , my pc is barely running this game at a proper framerate , but its smooth right now. Will the snow and rain effects in the full game have an effect on the fps?

Do what Nash mentioned...the files starting from the name VITO means the files are for Vito's clot simulation.

This will disable the cloth simulation for the NPCs who earlier used to eat lot of performance (mostly due to the dress worn by the ladies)

Another thing you can do along with this is to delete the "effects" folder if you don't want collisions for particles....doing this will disable the particles from colliding & cluttering the surface meaning they'll disappear before they land...hardly a sacrifice considering the debries are so ugly looking low poly stuff & the performance impact due to them is anywhere from 50%-60%.

I don't see why this shouldn't be possible in the final game.

I was gonna try that man. Read about that too. How much of a boost did you get after disabling particle effects?

Just finished playing demo of this game. Short and sweet, left me there wanting for more....

Just had a bird's eye view.. enviromental destruction is nice, especially blowing up the cars. Voice suits the characters. Graphics are nice.

Just left me in a lil' doubt if they are gonna release multiple demos of the game. First of all, they mentioned that the demo is specially designed and no part will be seen in the main game, and at the end they mentioned "to be continued..." :scratchchin:

Gonna try other combinations now, to see what else can be done.. buying guns, bribing cops :P

magazine was nice ;). I picked up the magazine thinking it as revolver's "magazine". As soon as I picked it up, the (.)(.) appeared on the screen. Did it in front of my 1.5 years old son :O
