Does anyone here use R9 270X? Why do I get lag playing vanilla Skyrim(only when I go out to skyrim. i.e open world.)? :samui: Syndicate 25 - 40 FPS @ High. Is it fine??

Also will updating to crimson help?

Try to update the driver, yes. It should help with frame pacing issues.

About your SKYRIM issues, no clue, sorry.

My graphics card is clearly dying. It gives grey or black screen freeze at random times requiring a hard shut down of PC.This happens even at stock settings. So i had underclocked it and it ran fine for some weeks but then again started giving the same issue. So i severely underclocked it and its running fine now for the time being. Its a sapphire hd7750 and its 3 yrs and 3 months old.Still play all my games fine at 1600*900.

Will keep using it until it completely dies.In the meantime i am considering either 750ti 2gb for 10k or 950 2gb for 14k.Don't plan to buy at the moment just considering these two if my card dies.

Yeah the 950 does well at that res. My 7850 is still able to tackle anything at 1680x1050. Gonna upgrade to a 970 quite soon [emoji4]

Skyrim @ 1080P of course. Syndicate @ 900P FXAA & SSAO. Will this happen if I only have 6 GB of RAM??

I haven't played Syndicate yet, but 6gb of ram should suffice. Does the fps dip below 30 quite often?

^ ~6000/- -->9000/- bucks, depending on how fast you want it moved from your hands.

You can go on forums like TechEnclave and Erodov for dedicated sale sections and threads to get your answers. Cheers!

Yes. In most games AA seems to be a problem. I have to disable AA and Run with medium textures for the games to play smoothly. I guess it should be because of memory limitations? I can get smooth 60 in Mordor,Ryse & Dying Light with medium textures and AA(any form) off. However turn on AA and I get sudden frame dips. If I disable AA Syndicate is running quite smoothly @ 30 - 45 FPS. Driver Issue? or VRAM limitations?

I don't think vram has much to do in here cuz you are playing at a lower resolution and the game needs 3 gigs of vram only at 1080p or higher. Its a Ubi game after all, so you will have to live with all the quirks that come with it.

AMD confirms Polaris launch for 2016

crytek-dinosaurs-930x521.jpg

When Advanced Micro Devices created its own stand-alone graphics division, Radeon Technologies Group, and crafted a new brand, Polaris, for its upcoming graphics architecture, it was an admission of sorts. AMD championed the combination of processors and graphics into a single chip, dubbed the accelerated processing unit (APU). But the pendulum swung a little too far in that direction, away from stand-alone graphics. And now it’s Raja Koduri’s job to compensate for that.

I interviewed Koduri at the 2016 International CES, the big tech trade show in Las Vegas last week. He acknowledged that AMD intends to put graphics back in the center. And he said that 2016 will be a very big year for the company as it introduces its advanced FinFET manufacturing technology, which will result in much better performance per watt — or graphics that won’t melt your computer. Koduri believes this technology will help AMD beat rivals such as Nvidia. AMD’s new graphics chips will hit during the middle of 2016, Koduri said.
