Speaking on Twitter, Gneiting said that developers using DirectX 12 over Vulkan ‘literally makes no sense.’ Elaborating on his stance, and in response to some questions, Gneiting pointed out that with Windows 7 forming a major chunk of the PC gaming market, and with DirectX 12 being incompatible with Windows 7, using DirectX in an attempt to have ‘one codebase’ makes no sense, since developers would need to create two separate ones anyway. He pointed out that the argument that programming for Xbox One and Windows 10 becomes easier by using DirectX 12 is moot too, because DirectX 12 on Windows and on Xbox is very different, necessitating two separate code paths anyway.

Looking to buy the founders edition

or wait a couple of months for the price to go down ??

If you can please send the defunct GTX960 to me so that I can make a YouTube video of it being grilled in an OTG please go ahead.

Founders edition of 1060 is for completely idiot people. It has an average cooler and there is nothing premium about it.

Wait for prices to stabilise. You already have a decent card.

K thanks

Which is the best gfx card to get now?

which'll be powerful enough to handle highest gaming for atleast 3 years and wouldn't get outdated for upcoming major games.

GTX 1080 is the "best" but it costs 60k MRP

GTX 1070 should get you through 3 years of ultra settings and it costs 45k MRP,probably can come down.

I would go for a GTX1070.

^ There is quite a decent performance ▲ between the two cards. You can get the details here (#55 and #73 on the listings).

Why not go for a GTX970M if spending so much dough. Alternately wait a bit and see when Pascal shows up in notebooks.

This is a mess.. I've seen that there are many spec differences between 1070 and 1080 and about 20k of price difference. Dunno which will run better for me. Been watching some YT channels about GFX Cards and damn it's hell lotta confusing (for me) .. completely messed up now, dunno which one to go for..

any specific reason for that?

Any sane person would go for 1070.There are a few custom models available for under 40k already.1080 offers poor price/performance.
