1070 is 8 GB

^ GTX1070 is GDDR5 and GTX1080 is using GDDR5X which equates to higher bandwidth, better performance and all that good stuff.

They do give 5 years of warranty, but only if you register their products within 15 days of purchase. Otherwise, you'll end up with just 2 years. Not sure if their products are covered worldwide.

 

Correct me if I am wrong.

Why not go for a GTX970M if spending so much dough. Alternately wait a bit and see when Pascal shows up in notebooks.

Nope, both these models come with a GTX960M and will get blown out of the water.

 

I would see how the advent of GTX1080 / GTX1070 on the higher end forces the companies to deal with their stocks of the GTX970M / GTX980M units.

Need help in figuring out which Variant of the GPU to buy, the fact that most of the cards are OOS isnt helping either :/. I need a GTX 1080, please suggest the one that fits the 700$ budget. Wont be getting a 4K monitor now, will grab one during the Black Friday sales.

Vulkan benchmarks. 7950 beating titan. Nvidia has stopped giving sh*t about keplar.

This is always a problem, they just don't care for older cards. AMD older cards always improve over time.

Don't buy anything till price settles. It shouldn't cost more than $600-650.
