Sapphire RX480 4GB NITRO+ review.

Seems like custom RX480 cards will be cheaper on the whole vis-á-vis GTX1060's (Founder's and AIB's) and should match the performance and over-clocking potential. Now if those prices pan out for us. =/

Lets see how much that 9$ cheaper card than 1060 AIBs will cost here.

8 GB Nitro is 270$ and AIB 1060 is 279$.

Anwways OC power draw is just too much. Freaking unreal:

^ The power draw is nothing to be so worked up about. Most gaming PC's have a 500W or more power supply anyway, plus no company has released any efficient models in India, save Seasonic so running along with a custom RX480 (if priced right) is cool.

Will Nvidia release 1050 models to compete with 470x ?

Mohit

If price is right and all issues are fixed then 470x looks decent card for 1080p gaming.

But will it be able to run games like Cyberpunk 2077 at 1080p high :P

By the time it is released, we will have $100 card running games at 1080p...

well said,If DEVs able to optimized their games as per latest VULCAN and DX12 release (latest example DOOM) , we are going to get better game performance and we might not need top of end GPU for single screen 1080p gaming. I think TOP end GPU will focus on running VR games

DX12 "optimization" is non existent.

try DX12 on RoTR,it drops fps instead of increasing fps

blame the lazy developers, even Microsoft's own title suffers miserably - it's really sad in that way

Looks like Sapphire Nitro RX470 4gb will be $160 and 8gb will be $180 based on rumors.Crossing my fingers for 15k price on 4gb model.

ahahaha you can keep dreaming. :P the two of you.

the upcoming RX'es will again be overpriced here.

And you won't be able to do sh*t about the so-called "optimization" if nvidia signs an exclusive deal with the developers and this is something which they have been practicing. I hate to say this but people like Nvidia more than AMD. They may praise AMD for their "good pricing" but will go for Nvidia for that "overall better performance and how many games do Vulcan support?" argument. Look up at any popular site or discussion. That is what you'll see.

It's always up to the developer, AMD also has their fair share of AMD optimized games
