AMD tells me it has a new super sampling feature in testing, which is designed to increase performance during ray tracing. The company is promising its super sampling technology will be open and cross-platform, which means it could come to next-gen consoles like the Xbox Series X and PS5. AMD is working with a number of partners on this technology, and it’s expecting strong industry support. Unfortunately, this won’t be ready for the launch of these three new Radeon RX 6000 Series cards.

^^ Ugh. I had my quote of launch disappointment news today. 3 different Sony centers told me PS5 is not shipping before December end.

Seems to be consistent with what I heard from a Sony Center in Hyderabad. Preorder by mid/late Nov. Launch in Dec

RTX 3070 launched. Big stock compared to 3080.

As a budget gamer the prices for both 3070 & 6800 is very disappointing.

I was seriously hoping the 6800 will slot into where the 5700xt is at the moment in terms of price but AMD went bombastic with the price.

It’s funny that Nvidia card is cheaper compared to its AMD comparable model.

3070/3080 are not budget cards though. Both are high end really. Those $300 cards are moved towards 3050/3060 now (compared to GTX 970 ~ $350). Those are midrange/budget choices.

We should see cheaper but good budget cards from Jan mostly. 3050/3060 will be very exciting.

AMD 6800XT $50 less not enough change my mind and 6800 is straight no over 3070 which is $80 cheaper.

The 2070 super launches in India for 43k, the 5700xt at 36k both of these are much higher than 2060/580/1060 level. I was hoping these cards would be in that range. With the 3070 being 51k, 6800 will most probably be 60k.

The 3060/6700 will now slot in at the 35-44k range when they were supposed to be in the 28-35 range.

But 3070 is giving you 2080Ti performance. That card was $1200+. Now you are getting that for $500. You should compare that too.

3060 will smash 2070S while costing less than 2070S. Don't see the problem. The numbers 60 is not longer low end like old times when they can outperform previous 70 cards. Can even 3060 pushing 1440p 60fps at high settings/no RTX stuff. DLSS is game changer.

I miss the times when you could drop 25-30k and get a solid card that would last 3-4 years before going obsolete.

Which card is that? How were the games looking back then?
