Here’s how I am thinking about it -

1) CPU - 7700X for upto 35k. It’s an AM5 CPU and nearly as good as 7800x3d in 1440p-4k range.

2) GPU - upto 1.1L, could be 4080S or maybe even 5080 if pricing is good

3) remaining components to be optimized in 60k

total 2.1L

what do you think about all these components?

Get some work done man. Come back once 50 series launches

I think for 5k more you should go with 7800 x3d. Also i wouldnt mind dropping 50k on 9800xd and be future proof, the benchmarks show promising improvement over 7800xd

2.1 vs 2.2 not much of a difference

Yes, 9700x looks good

Also, I am considering 9900X which has decent L3 cache and clock speeds

and, 7800X3D itself seems to inched upto 45k-48K range 🫤 on websites @playstationdude, so 9900X looks decent

I’ll be considering 4 options - 9700X, 9900X, 7800X3D and 9800X3D whichever gives best price to performance

I do agree with @l33tmaniac , best to come back to this after 50 series launch as prices seem to be varying wildly

till then, I’ll research about other components also

Can you guys suggest a ups for pc with a 1000W psu (corsair 1000rme)? Im currently using a cyberpower 2200va ups but as soon as the electricity goes off the pc resets

https://amzn.in/d/2gRyoxP

Its bit on expensive side but APC UPS generally quite good and reliable. It has 2 years warranty and customer care is quite good. You can even get extended warranty from them.

RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 price leaked!!

According to the leaked details, the GeForce RTX 5080 is set to come with a significant price tag. The leak reportedly comes from an Australian retail source, revealing that the card will feature 16 GB of GDDR7 VRAM, a notable upgrade in memory technology. However, it’s the price that’s truly raising eyebrows.

The RTX 5080’s estimated MSRP in Australia is AUD 2,799, which translates to approximately USD 1,746 after conversion. For U.S. markets, the price could range from USD 1,400 to USD 1,600, depending on regional factors like sales tax and retailer markups.

Really curious how much 5060 and 5070 will cost. Dont think i will bother with 5080 and 5090s now lol.

AMD needs to compete, so price can come down.

Lack of competition results in outrageous pricing. Nvidia dont give a fk at this point.

5070 Ti with 16gb G7 will be the best

See there will be DLSS 4 exclusive feature for 5xxx series

Maybe say 3x framegen.

nvidia will  compare 3xframegen of 5xxx series with 2x framegen of 4xxx series

and justify the price increase.

Frame gen works good even on 3x series with mods but Nvidia locks to new cards just to sell em.

Modders on nexus have been uploading frame gen and new 4 series DLSS even for 3070 and 3080 cards.

So 5 series stuff will be modded and will be available for 4 series cards as well.

After framegen turned on, top 50 series cards should offer at max 50ms latency or lower in modern heavy titles - then it should be good
