Wow this is Unexpected in a good way! $699 is a good price. Nobody expected it. Everyone was expecting atleast $800-900. 35% faster than 1080? Insane! Bold statement but they just killed Vega before it even launched.

1070 - $350

1080 - $500

1080Ti - $700

Incoming regret for those who bought 1080 for $700-750 recently.

Which is still a $50 raise over the last Ti card, the 980Ti. nVidia asketh and we giveth away. :giggle:

No full 3840 shaders

Maybe another card incoming?

TiTan X black?

I see no reason to launch another SKU.

Meanwhile all the news from the Team Red camp has been.

Guys the next gen AMD GPU's codename VEGA are called RX VEGA.

Pls buy on launch.

Yeah $50 more than 980Ti. Nvidia using the Titan XP to make their other products look better.

But you have to consider that Nvidia could have potentially priced this higher and got away with it. Why they decided to throw us a bone is a bit of a mystery.

Because they know there is no other option. They are not doing us a favour, a majority of profits were already minted from the guys who had picked up the Pascal GPU's till point.

so are there any chances we would see the pricedrop in 1070/80 reflected locally??

Yes, GTX1080 is already down from ~60,000/- -->55,000/- range to ~50,000/- and lesser in retail.

We should see some compression on GTX1070 due to that but not much effect below that unless nVidia wants to play extremely aggressive.

Is this 1080 Ti is the best graphics card to buy for upcoming years of gaming or Nvidia is hiding something big behind the doors which will be revealed after the announcement and release of upcoming AMD vega cards?

Also is it better to shift from 1080 to 1080 Ti now?

wAIT FOR GTX 3080

I guess yea.. seems good days coming for PC users. AMD is showing meaningful upgrades and VEGA.

maybe skip the 2000s versions and around that time new gen consoles might be announced. Q4 2018 maybe!
