Updates From Nvidia - RTX 3080 NVIDIA Store Availability

This morning we saw unprecedented demand for the GeForce RTX 3080 at global retailers, including the NVIDIA online store. At 6 a.m. pacific we attempted to push the NVIDIA store live. Despite preparation, the NVIDIA store was inundated with traffic and encountered an error. We were able to resolve the issues and sales began registering normally.

 

To stop bots and scalpers on the NVIDIA store, we’re doing everything humanly possible, including manually reviewing orders, to get these cards in the hands of legitimate customers.

 

Over 50 major global retailers had inventory at 6 a.m. pacific. Our NVIDIA team and partners are shipping more RTX 3080 cards every day to retailers.

I was only chasing the two FTW variants from EVGA but had a query for rest of the 3080s .. not one showed as in stock between 6:00 and 6:40 at Newegg

Likely bots .. buildapc and bapcsales subreddit threads has almost no one confirming they were able to get one. meanwhile, ebay and stockX are flooded with scalped cards - some even selling upwards of $2000.

Should have taken pre-orders first, added verification, added simply captcha verification on site, etc,.

 

eBay sellers already selling for $1500-3000...

They taking a page out of the flash sales book of Xiaomi. Keep stock so low that everything gets sold out in seconds and then build more hype around the product. This is flash marketing 101.

Have they announced a date for the 3060 also? I know the 3090 is in a few days, and 3070 a bit after, but didn't see anything for the 3060.

What's the price tag on it?
