The hype is just because it's 'Blizzard' or the game itself is good?

Well, having played ~20+ hours so far, scores justifies the game. The game is fantastic. Easily the most fun shooter in a very-very long time. Uy9Ptv9.gif Just pick and go play, no waiting or unlocking stuff bullshite.

Solid maps, extremely fluid and well polished, no camping (well, Bastian does near end points to defend, but that's up to how team plays), huge variety of heroes to play with, nice humor, short rounds, team based and a good community, progressive cool rewards, everyone has everything (as in all abilities) when playing, so no one will feel like overpowered, ton of cosmetics to unlock.

And the best part is, if you are not looking for complex heroes, you can go with simple heroes with easy abilities. Like Soldier: 76 and still have ton of fun.

Blizzard part is just icing the cake. Uy9Ptv9.gif The competitive mode addition, more new brawls every week, new updates & contents is going to keep this game alive for long time.

Created a Brazilian account. Spent around 1500 versus 5K on the Indian store.

No it isn't. I checked and it is 230 local currency on Brazilan store which converts to 4300 INR plus. The cheapest is south korea at around 3300 INR.

So how 1500?

Yup. Forgot to mention, called in a few favours with a friend whose card I used to pay for it.

That math just doesn't add up and if you are not willing to share the method then just say so :(

Yup. Bastion is easily countered by widowmaker but only when not well positioned and supported. Get a good counter sniper to handle the wm and bastion is near indestructible on defence and on attack/payload if you have reinhard or mercy then bastion can be great. He wont get as many kills but will harass the other team to death.

As for Roadhog chainhook it's the matter who sees the other first.

Not just Widowmaker, she's the most obvious one. Tracer, Reaper, D.Va. Genji, Hanzo. All these can easily counter Bastion.

Tracer, Reaper and Genji don't even need to worry about Mercy and Reinhardt. It's pretty much rock, paper and scissors and after that it's pure skill.

Except when it's Bastion, no skill xD

I think all the heroes are very well balanced. There is no one hero that is way too OP. I've seen a lot of teams going for the multiple Torbjorns and Bastion route. A good set of tanks with hanzo/widowmaker are a great counter for that.

Once on Route 66, we went 5 Torbjorns and one lucio, just for f#&ks & giggles, and all of us got the "Can't Touch This" trophy (prevent the opposition from touching the payload for 60 secs). We absolutely smashed them, they didn't even reach the 1st checkpoint. The opposition tried to do the same to us when it was our turn to attack. And we broke through easily with the combination of 2xRienhardt+Widowmaker+Pharah+Mercy

Its all about having a dynamic team members who are willing to switch heroes as required. You can't stick to a single hero and have to switch around in the classes to support the team. This isn't a game where your KD ratio is important, even the post game lobby doesn't focus on kills and shows players who've been the most helpful for the team.

Yeah the math doesn't add up because its a discounted amount plus a friend owing me for helping him out before resulting in me just paying 1500 to him while he paid the rest.

What was the point of getting my hopes then  . Anneways it isn't cheapest in Brazil (this is for others here).

The rest paid by your friend being then 2800+ then the math checks out :P

You can pretty much shred from miles away a OK tracer and a good reaper and D.VA as they are all short range. Genji is a bit problematic with his deflect. He is hard counter against Bastion in short ranges but a good team won't let him get to you. Hanzo is a sniper so long range counter.

Bastion is not in your face hero, you gotta pick up a good spot, rack up two three kills and then switch to another spot.

As for skill, I disagree. He might not require twitch rxn but you got to be on the move looking for strategic spots to put down the sentry mode. It requires lot map knowledge and forward thinking. If you just lazily sit on one spot waiting for kills to land on your lap then you are pretty much toast.

Agreed. A good bastion is always on the move not letting the enemy get the drop on you. I've seen people counter bastion with Genji - Genji is one hero I haven't managed to git gud with yet.. I think you need a good tank/support around for Genji to flourish.
