Heaven Angel
This is my first diablo game :O You are new and playing latest build, that's why. Also 1st Diablo game? That's surprising. Can anyone please explain why there is so much hate for this game . http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/4941486367 -No community -No chatrooms -No making and naming games -No face-to-face trading -No traveling between acts -No gambling -Useless crafting -AH renders loot farming pointless -Gold farming is more important than loot farming -Gems are boring -Items are boring -All items boil down to vit, main stat, and DPS/armor -No interesting or unique affixes -Chests are worthless -MF and droprates are awful -Skills and classes are imbalanced -Skill system offers no incentive to reroll a class -Generic and boring story -Feels like WoW -Lacks horror and gothic undertones -Looks like WoW -Level 60 is when the real game begins -Inferno offers no reward for playing -Repair costs are too high -Waypoints are worthless -Pay to win (RMAH) -Legendaries suck -White items are worthless -All classes use DPS for skill damage -All classes can wield all weapons equally -Bosses are weak -Bosses are boring -Bosses don't offer rewards -Stuck on a linear quest-reward system -No freedom -Have to play how blizzard wants you to -No offline mode -Server problems -No PvP -No open-world PvP -Casualized and dumbed down -Item sets suck and are worthless -No runes -No charms -Acts are generic and boring -Maps are generic and boring -Very little map randomization -Game offers no reward for hardwork -Level 60 cap -No skill trees -Can't place attribute points -Leveled attribute points are pointless -Insanely huge and unnecessary stat numbers (just like WoW) -Jay Wilson -Caters to the new fans instead of the old fans -Lots of Bugs -Unfinished despite long development time -Feels hollow and doesn't have a gripping atmosphere -Bad voice acting -Bad characters -WoW-like characters -"Everyone is a winner!" sort of game -Nerfs -4 person game restriction -Very little replay value -Crafter level transfers characters -Friend's list is in shambles -Checkpoints (some are patched though). Always online and epic fail launch brought down the score to 3. Anyway 100% XP boost only this weekend and 50% leading up to the launch of RoS on Tuesday. Take advantage of it while you can.
SpearHea:D
:O You are new and playing latest build, that's why. Also 1st Diablo game? That's surprising. Yeah i am not into aprgs . Heaven Angel
Nice. When you are done with D3, check out Titan Quest, Sacred 2, Van Helsing, Path of Exile. (combat may not be butter smooth like D3, but these are some great aRPG games)
Tyler
I love all those other games but no other ARPG can come close to the combat of D3.
xvinnix
Anyone wants to play online on Console?? Just want to see what a strategic run feels like. Me too first time Diablo. And I am loving it. Cheers
sathyabhat
xpac is live across all regions. Coming next: Ladders aka Seasons, with ladder unique items. http://www.reddit.com/r/Diablo/comments/21akfv/reaper_of_souls_qa_with_josh_mosqueira_wyatt/cgb7w9l Will have to wait till evening before I can start with the crusader. Can anyone please explain why there is so much hate for this game . People wanted Diablo 2 in 3D, they got something else. They got Diablo 3. Heaven Angel
Anybody played the expansion? (heard it is short and has a cliffhanger ending) Edit: where are the reviews? Edited March 26, 2014 by Heaven Angel
Tyler
Started playing last night. I've jumped into Act V with my Monk. So far pretty decent and I'm liking the atmosphere. Diablo should be dark and creepy and I was never a fan of Act II and the desert in D2 either. So far it seems to be hitting the right notes. As for length I've heard it's about 5 to 6 hours which seems pretty decent since this is just one extra act. It seems on par (or longer) than the original acts. There's also the new class, adventure mode and jewel crafting, none of which I've experienced yet. There's a good amount of new stuff.
spindoctor
Finished Act 5 just now. The difficulty ramps up quite a bit after you kill the second of three bosses. Anyone who is playing the game, lower your difficulty at that point or you will get your teeth kicked in.
The_Game
Anybody played the expansion? (heard it is short and has a cliffhanger ending) Edit: where are the reviews? Joe have you played after the patch 2.0.1. I am playing most days and quite enjoy it now. Not looking to buy the expansion though. After the Aussie servers went live I do find it difficult to find public games now.
Elessar
Edit: where are the reviews? Here's one - Gamespot - 8/10 If you've played Diablo III before and found that it wasn't for you, the changes Reaper of Souls makes to the game won't be far-reaching enough to change your mind. Reaper gives those who already liked Diablo III more of what they already liked about it. Adventure mode leverages Diablo III's existing content in a clever way, and with its haunting settings and memorable villain, act five is the best chapter in the game's campaign. If you're looking for reasons to keep on clicking, Reaper of Souls has plenty.
WhiteWolf
Does the pc version of diablo has couch co-op ? Console version is much better imo.. Looks great plus you can play co-op offline and online... For newcomers console version is best.....imo
Tyler
Also regular dips to 10 fps when there are too many mobs and effects. But yeah couch coop is really nice bonus and it works surprisingly well with a controller. The current PC version is still the best version though.
