wow.. U guys are so good.. I am now embarassed to post my pics clicked from my cell phone.

nothing to be embarassed...first thing they have clicked with a good camera and yours are just cell phone...plus people improve with time...no one is born with a camera clicking pictures

Don't be. I am a total noob at this, and it's more about the fact that the camera has fancy settings you can play with (like the continuous shooting mode, which is what helped me get the shots of the waves). The one trick I learnt (and this was about 3 weeks ago) was to split the screen into thirds vertically and horizontally (ie so the screen is split into 9 squares/rectangles - even with this, there's a setting on the camera which draws the lines on the screen so you can line it up) and try to keep your focal point along anywhere but the middle square, to make the shot seem more natural. I then played around with the manual settings on my phone for different effects. It's all about just getting behind the camera and having a bit of fun with it. 99.95 of (my) shots are utter crap, and the final 0.05% are potentially passably crap.

But some criticism would be helpful, esp. wrt focus & exposure.

The exposure is fine. The flash didn't produce harsh shadows so it's all good. If you want a larger depth of field use a smaller aperture (increase the f-number).
