The Wolfy among us
Really nice man especially the first three . Where is this ? This is in mekedatu, a place in Karnataka where the Cauvery flows thro mountains... Pretty great place, the first pic reminds me of some scene from Zindagi Na milegi Just 90 kms from Bangalore The waterfall looks great! That silky effect is pretty good isnt it? The easiest thing to do if you have an SLR. Edited August 16, 2011 by Wolf
Anshul
I believe Anshul passed it through a nice blue filter as well. Nah, no blue filter was used. Just shoot your pictures ~25 minutes after sunset/before sunrise with a tripod and you will get great results. I did use an ND Grad filter to balance the sky and water. Sherry Jose
Guys, I need to do some photo editing, given below are my requirements. Any idea how to do this in photoshop / lightroom ? 1. I need to isolate only the foreground, i.e., remove the background completely. To make this query more generic, I need to remove some parts of the photo and replace it with plain background colors (white mostly). 2. Couple of my photos are shaken, how to correct them ? Please point me to any tutorial (text or video will do) that explain the above, or if its not too long a tutorial, kindly let me know here. 1) http://howtobuildaninternetsite.com/how-to-remove-background-using-photoshop-cs5/ Hope this link can help, a simple google should help since a lot of tutorials are there in the web. 2) Shaken Practically a shaken picture can never be made perfect

Death Stryke
Nice. whats the exposure settings on these?? @Neo, regarding shaking, u own an slr right. A lot of it depends on your stance and the way you hold it. There is a certain way both your legs should be on the ground while taking a photo, so that your body's center of gravity is balanced. There are optimum positions for taking pictures standing, kneeling etc. Check out youtube, tons of videos. And try it out, will help you keep steady for taking a shot
avkash
DS, how the f**k do I use Aperture, too many options let me start with one of the most basic questions, i have an overexposed image, one my wife clicked using err photo-booth of hers and my son, clearly not the best camera so the image is highly overexposed, i need the exposure to be less so that I can see at lest something i tried the presets with exposure -2, not much help any inputs are welcome
Death Stryke
Haha, if u know what the options do,then it wouldn't matter Did u try tweaking the highlights and shadows settings? try moving the shadows, highlights, contrast and exposure bars till u can recover a bit of the image. Of course, ur laptop's webcam will only produce noisy photos, so u can use the noise brush to remove noise as well.

Anshul
If the highlights are blown out then there's nothing you can do. For best results with editing softwares, shoot raw.

Another style of the above picture The mighty Yuba Bharati Kirangan Another shot of the stadium from the place where I will sit on match day..or maybe even to the middle of the ground...but that is the block against my ticket. My friend from St.Xavier's College,Kolkata.......He plays football really well.....We always quarrel. All these shots are taken at 3 different exposures and then made into a HDR photo Guys please comment.......How are the photos..............Anyone going to see the match for Rs.1860 tickets cause I am going to watch
Anshul
^ Might sound harsh but this is why I'll never do HDR's.
