WhiteWolf
Nice. What is your friends steam ID? Let me add him. He is not comfortable sharing his ID on a public forum.. He is not on IVG and sharing his id here without his permission is wrong and i will not do it. He owns a kickass PC and i will be playing lot of games on his PC now as my PC is not strong enough to handle modern AAA games

Gautam
Firewatch certainly sounds like the Crysis of this generation. Making people upgrade their PCs to play the game

GeraltOfRivia
Quote Indie adventure Firewatch is being review-bombed on Steam after the game's developer, Campo Santo, filed a DMCA against YouTuber PewDiePie. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2017-09-19-firewatch-steam-review-bomb-pewdiepie-racism-incident Review bombing has become a trend on Steam and now PewDiePie fanboys are misusing it
Heaven Angel
Both of them are just being silly. PDP was racist but it had nothing to do with this game. The developer is just being an arse and taking a shot at PDP.

Heaven Angel
It's not the first time PDP has made a racist comment. The developer has no longer use of PDP, so he is taking his shot. Wonder where was he when the game was launched and PDP was promoting it. Review bombing maybe stupid but so is sending a takedown notice for OLD content which again had nothing to do with PDP's comment or the game. The developer is just abusing the laws and being childish.

Even if he did, maybe the developers were not aware of it and there is a limit to mistakes you can make. Also, nobody is saying his remarks are related to Firewatch, DMCA is a way for Firewatch developers to dissociate their content from a person with regressive mindset. Heaven Angel
That's not how laws were made. Just because you don't like someone's opinion/comment, you don't send a takedown notice for the content they promoted. It's like, hey thanks for making us famous and rich. Now here is the takedown notice so that you cannot monetize any of our content because I don't like you anymore, sucker. Instead of sending a takedown notice like a child, they could have privately contacted Felix regarding it, but no, they had to create a scene. This not only just affects one game but it affects his entire business/channel. Vanaman is just mad that Felix is more popular and makes more money than him. So he had to personally attack him and put him on a dangerous spot of losing his channel. He even went ahead and urged that other developers should cut him off. Yeah, nothing personal. So, your point of "they are done using him" makes no sense. If Campo Santo wants more future money using his promotion of their future games, why would they do this ? 7 minutes ago, Joe Cool said: Instead of sending a takedown notice like a child, they could have privately contacted Felix regarding it, but no, they had to create a scene. Because Felix doesn't do promotion for free. He takes additional promotion fee along with monetization. Vanaman probably doesn't want to pay him anymore and since PDP's controversies are always a huge deal, he is just using it to his own advantage for getting some attention. PDP's let's play video has more than ~5M views and that is huge for indie games/studios. That kind of promotion is more than enough to kickstart the studio. This controversy is helping him a lot. Firewatch has hit peak interest (since launch). 20 minutes ago, GeraltOfRivia said: Contacting privately sends no message out from Firewatch developers to public that they do not endorse or support PDP and his views. 1 A public message is fine. But takedown notices aren't, mainly over something that is years old and has nothing to do with him or the studio. 23 minutes ago, GeraltOfRivia said: Vanaman may be getting personal, but it doesn't makes his stand wrong. Aftrunner
Not wanting your product to be associated with someone who yells racial slurs at people is a pretty reasonable position to hold. Not sure how this is jealousy. LOL. Looks like Joe is a PDP fan. If tomorrow Nike drops their sponsorship from a football player who yelled racial slurs at people no one would bat an eye. I am more concerned about the companies that still give PDP a platform. Youtube should have demonetized his channel a week ago. Let him call people the N word, just dont pay him for it. Heaven Angel
I'm not a fan nor follow him. You are not getting the point. Not wanting your product to be associated with someone who yells racial slurs is completely FINE. What's not fine is sending a takedown notice for something that is: Year old. Has nothing to do with Felix's comments. Promoted as free to monetize. So much for freedom. And also while knowing how Youtube business works. He is just using DMCA to force his agenda. If he doesn't want him anywhere near his game, then forbid him but going back to old streams and sending notice is worse than throwing a racial slur. I am either gonna assume you are young or have never been called the N word. Because anything else would just make me genuinely be disappointed in you. As for the rest, 1 Being a year old has nothing to do with it. If tomorrow Messi becomes a raging racist, you wont be seeing any of his year old ads on Nike's site. That sh*t gets purged. 2 It has EVERYTHING to do with the shitstain's comments. That is the whole reason they issued the take down. You DONT want your game to be anywhere on his channel. Doesnt matter if he said the N word in your game's video or someone else. Context doesnt matter. 3 There never was freedom. The whole Lets Play promotion exists as a handshake gesture between video game devs and streamers. Its their game. Its their choice. f**k him. f**k his business. He is a racist piece of sh*t. There is no law that says that companies have to let him use their material to make money.
