well orzammar was my second stop... i went upto lothering, then did redcliffe and then orzammar. picked up 1 bag in ostagar, and 1 more at the camp. (i didn't know that some traders actually replenish their bags) that makes 70 + 10 + 10. and if you don't have the trader in ortan thaig, there is no way you can do the deep roads locations without return journeys to orzammar. that, or you missed a whole lot of loot :surprise:

anyway i just completed circle of the mages. the 'middle' sequence was a royal mindf**k. it took me 4 hours to complete, and that was when i used wikia in the second half. god damn...

Finished the game yesterday (my first RPG :majesty:) and boy am I glad I stuck with it. The second half of the game is gripping stuff. Maybe I wasn't playing it right and conversing properly, but later on all the characters and the way they respond to everything you say feels so real. Definitely one of the best games I've played this year. I usually don't replay games but I started my second playthrough the moment I finished the first and I'm already 10 hours in. Partly for a different origins story, but mostly because I made a couple of (seemingly) critical decisions towards the end of the first playthrough that I want to make differently this time around.

Next stop - The Witcher

I have half a mind to stop my second playthrough on PS3 and buy the PC version. If there's anything that made me enjoy the game less, it was the technical drawbacks of the PS3/console version. There are way, way too many loading screens and load times are horrible. The game also seems to autosave every five minutes but the system is so pathetic that I've had to replay so much of the game on account of poor checkpoints. I believe the PC version has quick save and it has somewhat improved load times too.

Also, I had this strange glitch/bug. For my second playthrough, I chose the Elf-Female-City Elf origin (the one where you're supposed to be getting married). The interiors of your home in the Alienage where the game stats is completely black. You can hear the voiceovers and you can see the conversation options, but the interiors of the room are pitch black. You can't see anything. I was only able to exit it because the exit marker was thankfully visible so I was able to stumble over to the door. I returned there a couple of times to see if it was a one-off occurrence but it remained that way each time. Pretty poor that such a major bug exists, particularly when it is at the point where your character is first introduced.

You should totally get it for the PC Sam, DAO is basically a PC game the way it's meant to be played, better textures, better loading times, framerates are the best I think you have a 8800GT so you are good to go :majesty:

Epic moment? How did you like the final battle?

It was good.

Strangely enough, the Grey Wardens didn't live to see the end of it. Leliani slayed the dragon mostly by herself, with help from the battalions, of course. It would have been cool if you were forced to ensure that at least one Grey Warden in the party survives till the end rather than being revived after someone else slays the dragon

I know that the Grey Warden has to deliver the final blow, which is why I felt it would have been cool if they made it compulsory for one Warden to make it alive through the battle. In any case, I guess the other would need to be revived anyways to decide which one makes the sacrifice.

And ya, I turned Morrigan down too. A child of a tainted human and a witch of the wild - God knows what that baby would have turned into. I wanna see how that angle plays out in my second playthrough though.

Also, I made Alistair kill Loghain. Anora then refused to marry him and let him be king (which both had earlier agreed to). I wanna see what happens if I decide Loghain's fate differently.

okay.

on my first play i killed loghain too and declared anora queen ....but in my next play (from the save point of landsmeet i choose to save loghain from alistar ...i was a bit disappointed with that even if you choose loghain's fate differently there is not much you may get to see(i dont know the ending with loghain coz i choose to save him from alistar and see what happens just at that place landsmeet and i dont wanna reveal it to u but not much happens dont know how it ends with loghain though)

i killed loghain so she still married alistair. i must have replayed that landsmeet bit atleast 5 times to check all the different choices.

btw you can marry alistair if you're a female noble.

aparently, the guy at the camp will sell 3 backpacks. once when you first meet him, once when you meet him the second time and then again when you complete the brescilian forest quest. i bought one pack from him and after the brescilian forest i checked again but he didn't have any new backpacks. maybe it will work for you. i also have 110 slots but i haven't visited the denerim trader yet. and i honestly don't know what i would do without the warden's keep party stash.

i finished all the treaty questlines... the urn of sacred ashes was very enjoyable. now i reached denerim and i'll be finishing off this area before heading back to redcliffe to initiate the next stage of the story. about 54 hour played so far, and i'm assuming at least another 15-20 to go.

If Alistair kills Loghain there's no way Anora will marry him. But if Grey Warden kills him, Alistair and Anora can be talked into marrying. High persuasion is required. Also, if Loghain lives you can convince him to join your party - good fighter.

I love the game for the sheer number of choices.
