Jerush
I got a 2 GHZ Core 2 Duo, 2 GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce 8500 GT. It works pretty fine with this set up. So you wont have any probs unless you try for 1080p resolution. Edit: Check your system ratings. Recommended: 5 , Required:
relentless_rock
Thank you guys. The website is really cool. Though the dilemma still prevails. Passed successfully the minimum requirements and fell short of recommended. Guess would go wth the less risk option of console, and in distant future upgrade my pc. HundredProofSam
2-3 hours @ easy difficulty....OMG ? who is ur PC and who r party members ? Well, you have to kill the two generals and clear the tower before you get to the boss. Maybe 3 hours is a stretch, but it could easily be 2 hours. peace
Bulovski
2 hours easily.
spindoctor
actually it was longer than 2-3 hours for me... arl of denerim's estate + alienage + landsmeet with it's long a*s cutscenes + final battle. and i play slowly anyway, so it took me a while. i have a question though... before completing the game i was looking forward to buying return to ostagar to see what happened there. plus you'd get new armor and maybe new abilities etc... but now, after completing it, i don't really see if there's any point to it any more. it's rumored that one of the item drops will be the armor king cailan used in the fight, which is kind of cool, but completely pointless since i already defeated the damn archdemon. likewise, any new skills or abilities would be quite pointless as well. does anyone else feel the dlc has diminished value after completing the game? Bulovski
Depends if you're going to play it again - I think most people here are going for two playthroughs at least.
spindoctor
Use spoiler tag my friend yea i realized i should have put in spoiler tags as soon as i hit submit. Depends if you're going to play it again - I think most people here are going for two playthroughs at least. don't think i can play it again. the circle of magi fade sequence is enough to deter me from ever trying it again. DevilsOwn
don't think i can play it again. the circle of magi fade sequence is enough to deter me from ever trying it again. that circle of magi fade sequence was one of the most imaginative quests in the whole game; puzzles, varied characters, multiple demons, and you all alone. Loved it absolutely. And i was a lowly lvl 11/12 mage at the time i did that quest. the 2nd run could be easier for you as you now know how to beat the puzzles. Bulovski
Even I felt lost initially in that area (4 hours at a stretch can do that) but found I hadn't even visited an island. I love the side nightmares also.
Jerush
That was the only area where I was struggling to find my way. Totally loved it. AFAIK, that was the only part of the game which had some puzzle element in it. Ain't that so?
DevilsOwn
nope. the toughest puzzle would have to be from the urn of andraste's ashes. the one with the invisble walkway between chambers

Daedalus
nope. the toughest puzzle would have to be from the urn of andraste's ashes. the one with the invisble walkway between chambers i hope you mean relative to the standards of the game. Really.

spindoctor
that circle of magi fade sequence was one of the most imaginative quests in the whole game; puzzles, varied characters, multiple demons, and you all alone. Loved it absolutely. And i was a lowly lvl 11/12 mage at the time i did that quest. the 2nd run could be easier for you as you now know how to beat the puzzles. the core idea of that part was good, but it was terribly structured. when you first open the travel map, you are given the option to travel to 4-5 areas and you can easily get frustrated by running into dead ends over and over. if they had opened up the areas one by one and had given you the abilities you require to navigate the further areas, that would have been better. as it stands, backtracking through areas is not really fun, and it's no fun at all when those areas are a maze themselves. i mean, you get to an area... take a mouse hole, traverse the maze end up at a spirit door, then you go back to the beginning take another mousehole, end up at another locked door, then you go all the way back, go to another area, get the spirit walk ability, go back to the first spirit door you found, go further and it turns out your path is blocked by fire, so you leave go back again and then go to another area and so on and so forth. and all this while, you are trying to make sure you don't miss any of the possible rooms so that you don't miss out on the attribute bonuses. that gets frustrating real quick. some sort of logical progression to the puzzle would have been nice. there were still some nice touches though... like when you returned with the golem form, the blocked door was always in the same room that you teleported too... so no backtracking required there. they should have done something like that for the other abilities too. heck, even the ability to mark notes on your map would ensure that you could know where the stops were to make life easier. to me, the fade puzzle was almost great. that small difference, however, made it terribly frustrating to play.
