indusporus
just started playing the game on ps3...and i'm still not clear on the game's mechanics...can someone answer these Qs please: How can I give a potion to other characters..every time i open the radial menu and select a potion and try to give it to a different char, only my main player consumes it. I've also tried assigning tactics (all:health<50, give potion) doesn't seem to work.. Also, what tactics are recommended, in the default tactics, all the characters got assigned with only special abilities that require mana...isn't attack nearest/main chars target enemy supposed to be a preffered tactic..?? gonekrazy3000
switch control to the party member that needs healing first and THEN bring up the radial menu (l2 and r2 i think.... thats whats used for switching to party members) if you choose a potion after doing this the character you're controlling will drink the potion. pretty simple actually tactics..... that depends on how you play. the default tactics never actaully work.... Bulovski and afty will be better at mentioning tactics than me. myself i pretty much control the fight manually. pausing after selecting every attack..... HundredProofSam
I enjoyed the fade sequence/puzzle quite a bit, but they should have made it so it didn't require so much backtracking. peace

HundredProofSam
Just curious... how do you pataao Morrigan in the game? She's one cold bitch! Me wants teh trophy! In the Tower of the Circle of Magi, you will find a gift called the Black Grimoire. Gift that to her and then she will give you a quest. Complete that quest and you're golden. Although I'm beginning to wonder if its possible to do it even without that quest. In my second playthorugh I'm still at Lothering and I already got her to kiss me. Btw, anyone got lucky with Leliana? peace
MarketTantrik
Have any of you read the Dragon Age novel "the Stolen Throne" ? Its a prequel novel available at most major bookstores. I am about 30% of the way through the book and its pretty awesome. First the Mass Effect novels and now this. The Bioware noggins have a ready alternate career if gaming ever gets to be too much for them.

spindoctor
Don't require the quest? I had more trouble killing Flemeth than the Archdemon peace i had more trouble with flemeth as well, but i don't actually think the fight was harder. other factors caused it... flemeth was the first dragon i fought. didn't know what the dragons do and how they can rape the tanks. and secondly, morrigan wasn't in the party. i used her throughout the game for cc, hexes and pure dps, so i was missing a very important party member for the flemeth fight. and a tip for future fights with flemeth... use shale to tank... the fight becomes stupidly easy

In fact, only Leliana (the weakest party member) survived till the end of it. As for Flemeth, she took out Alistair and Leliana really early in the fight, which just left Wynn and myself (warrior). Wynn didn't last much longer either. So what made Flemeth hard was that you're required to inflict a lot of the damage yourself. Also, I'm playing on a borrowed copy so I didn't have Shale. Alistair is a fun character but not the best at absorbing damage peace
Snake
Excuse me....new to this game!! I wanted to ask, can i stay with just one character but give commands to others, without switching to them?? I hope im not too confusing!!! How else are you going to give commands? It's really simple though and not very confusing. The tactics are great and really customizable - much much better than FF XII gambit system. So once you set up good tactics you're good to go. It's very rare that you'll have to do micromanagement if you play on easy.

Superfrag
Against dragons, cold type of magic does insane damage/has insane effect. Cone of cold keeps any dragon frozen for quite some time.
spindoctor
and frozen weapons help too. a lot. flaming weapons are a higher dps boost than frost weapons though (the spell, not runes), if you ever have to make the choice (and this is true for all fights, not just against dragons).
