Tyler
Ty, how much RAM you got? 4GB. Maybe the load times aren't bothering me too much because they're actually worse on the console version. Also I haven't reached the towns yet, so there isn't a lot of entering and leaving buildings at the moment.
hammerhead
Killed Flemeth Morrigan was easy after that. Even bought her The mirror her mother broke Got a +20 approval from that alone But I was expecting a lot inside Flemeth's hut considering how hard she was to beat. btw the Dragon killing sequences are purely awesome. I had a huge axe and the last scene where the character chops the head off was brilliant.

Tyler
how worse are load times on a console ?and does installing the game to hdd help ? 15-20 seconds per load screen. I think installing to the HDD helps, bul is getting better load times after installation.
gonekrazy3000
*sigh* i find it amusing that everyone seems to have ignored my post...... I'm getting faster load times by installing too. its usually 5-10 secs most of the time. only rarely does it actually touch 10 secs.

Tyler
Got Shale to join my crew, learned to shape shift from Morrigan and now proceeding with the story... i think i'll go to Orzammar now and then the Circle of Magi. Currently at level 10, party consists of Leilana(way better than Zevran wrt lock picking skills imo), Shale and Alistair. 20 hours in. Loving this. Do Circle of Magi as early as possible. The quest gives some permanent stat boosts. The sooner you get them, the better.

DevilsOwn
guys, heading up for my first run of the game. Any tips/ pointers?? Playing as a Human Mage
DevilsOwn
Grab Winter's grasp early on. It will definitely help. Invest a lot of exp. points on willpower and magic. And yes, virulent walking bomb and it's variants are pretty powerful as well. check on the winters grasp, magic and willpower selections.
Bulovski
Winter's Grasp > Frozen Weapons > Cone of Cold - basically stick a couple of trees in the Mage line and stick with them. Get some sort of sustainable shield - it's going to be a life saver.

Tyler
finish the game you bastards! Are you kidding? Games like these aren't meant to be 'finished', they're to be savoured. The PC version is even more savoury...

Aftrunner
Yikes! I am pretty much scraping through all the encounters with the skin of my teeth. Potions are hard to find or buy and I cant find the ingredient to make enough of them. Just did the quest where the undead pour out of the castle and I almost didnt make it. None of the town defenders made it. All dead.
Tyler
Just did the quest where the undead pour out of the castle and I almost didnt make it. None of the town defenders made it. All dead. I finished that part just last night. Had to pause and position the party a lot. Putting Morrigan and Leliana in Ranged mode and stationary and forming a wall with the PC, Alistair and guards helped. About 4-5 of the guards were alive after that whole encounter. Also, the difficulty level in the PC version is definitely higher. On the 360 version I was able to get past most encounters without even switching to other party members or pausing the game. Using the Tactics screen is a must. I always stock up on potions and have made "use potion if health drops below 25%" the primary tactic for all party members. Trust me it's a life saver! At least until Wynne joins the party.
