DevilsOwn
I always stock up on potions and have made "use potion if health drops below 25%" the primary tactic for all party members. Trust me it's a life saver! At least until Wynne joins the party. she's a mage too though. well, if i take Morrigan along for most of my quests ahead, then cant have 3 mages in the party.. damn

However, a tank (Alistair) and a Rogue (Leliana) are a must. Without the rogue you will not be able to open any locked chests. Tyler
How do I get the Dragon Armour and the Fury of Shale. When I go to the Download section, I cant see anything listed there. Where do I enter the codes? You need to redeem them from the Bioware website. Once you do that, restart the game and they will be in your active downloads section. BTW, the PC version really is quite a challenge (in a good way). Some of the fights really cannot be won without proper party control. A couple of boss fights, which took me 2-3 minutes on the console version took more than 15 minutes on the PC. And that's not counting re-tries. I found it easier to control Wynne and cast buffs and heal from afar than getting into the mix. The AI is generally pretty good when it comes to fighting. I really doubt I'll be going back to the 360 version now. @_Rakesh_ : I think that's Nemo in the cartoon
Tyler
Are you kidding me? Finding the combat quite easy. Then again i'm micromanaging things like this was a J-RPG. Which part are you at? The difficulty is a bit skewed. Some enemies are easy but then the game has a habit of throwing in a tough encounter without warning. And yeah, micromanaging is the way to go! He maketh sense. But Morrigan is hot. There's always the camp Besides I prefer Leliana over her anyway. Morrigan is like a sheltered little child trapped in a hot woman's body. Bulovski
You don't need Morrigan if you are a mage yourself. However, a tank (Alistair) and a Rogue (Leliana) are a must. Without the rogue you will not be able to open any locked chests. I can understand the love for Morrigan but strategy comes first I am a mage but I still have Morrigan in the party. My mage dishes out the damage (I love the Lightning line) and Morrigan does some serious Illusion magic. Round it up with tank (Alistair) and Rogue (Zevran). I am thinking of switching to Leliana because of her lock pick skills but Zevran's two weapon fighting and back stabs are awesome. I guess next playthrough it will be different - dwarven warrior. Is anyone playing a Dwarf? And Morrigan love = sidebewb show Started playing after a week and still as brilliant. There are so many sidequests to do - you get sucked into it. Tyler
and thats a bad thing?? Listen to her opinions later in the game and you'll know what I mean. @Bul, No healer? DevilsOwn problem was that he didn't want three mages in the party. Morrigan, Wynne and himself. According to me, two mages, one damage dealer and one healer are all you need. Add a tank and a rogue and you have a pretty effective party. Although it does suck that tanks are not as strong as they should be. They die rather easily. That's why I prefer to use two tanks instead. Also, I don't think I can survive in the PC version without Wynne's group healing, revival, regeneration and attack/defense buffs. Also, Leliana > Zevran, the lockpick skill is really handy and Song of Valor is very useful during battle. I once turned it off and was surprised how long I had to wait for stamina to regenerate. Bulovski
I don't mind spending on potions and poultices - Morrigan's shapeshifting comes in handy against tough bosses. Because of the nerfed difficulty in consoles I can get by without the healer. I might shift to Leliana once I get tougher enemies - a ranged rogue with Elf Arrows is good fun. The interesting thing is that knockback and freeze and every other effect is applied on the party, except damage is zero. So you still can't shoot a fireball around your party without some negative effects at easier difficulty.
Tyler
That's right I could get past most encounters on the console without a healer. Oh btw, the Circle of Magi is indeed an option while completing the Redcliffe castle quest. This time I did not choose to sacrifice the Arlessa. I went to the Circle Tower instead and got help from the mages (of course I had to complete the whole Circle Magi quest first). But yeah I didn't have to spill unnecessary blood. I didn't take the shield tree because Alistair is already a shield user. I've tried not using him but the guy is really useful and he's also a great character to boot. His Templar abilities are super-awesome against enemy mages. Not sure about two-handed though, I usually avoid two-handed weapons in RPGs, they're always slow and cumbersome and typically useless against regular enemies who are general fast. It's either sword+shield or dual wield.
