Bulovski
That's right I could get past most encounters on the console without a healer. Oh btw, the Circle of Magi is indeed an option while completing the Redcliffe castle quest. This time I did not choose to sacrifice the Arlessa. I went to the Circle Tower instead and got help from the mages (of course I had to complete the whole Circle Magi quest first). But yeah I didn't have to spill unnecessary blood. Ah yes - I was impressed that it's an actual option instead of just a conversation choice. I will probably try that in another playthrough. gonekrazy3000
lol. I already used that option in my current playthrough. Since i've made my 360 verson char into an absolute saint i couldn't pick the other choices without going out of character...... Gawd. i so badly want to play this game. I'm probably gonna die before december 20th gets here Stupid exams >.<
Aftrunner
So, do I keep the red headed hottie with me or the Elf assassin. Who is the better lockpick/combat char?
john117
some random forum comment and an awesome response mrpier said: Why aren't there spears and pole-arms in DAO? When "the maker" was playing civilisation he skipped spear tech. On the bright side soon he'll have access to railroads so that will add fast travel across all connected towns. But you've just got to watch out that the dark spawn don't field any commando units because they can use the maker's roads/rails.
Tyler
So, do I keep the red headed hottie with me or the Elf assassin. Who is the better lockpick/combat char? Leliana, all the way! Lockpick + Song of Valor + Archery + she's hot.
Aftrunner
Yeah thats what I was thinking but her lockpicking at level 7 sucks balls. I am missing out on half the equipment anyway. And the Elf is frickin funny. He knows 6 card games, 12 jokes and massage techniques. The writing is really superb in this one BTW, some of the best written stuff I have seen in years. Banter between party members is also rather excellent. You need to level up her Lockpicking skill every time she levels up. If I'm not wrong Cunning governs lockpicking.
Aftrunner
Meh. I will stick with the elf. And bring out the hottie in peaceful places to initiate conversations and such. Edit Also the give gift option is always greyed out for me. Any idea why?
Tyler
Edit Also the give gift option is always greyed out for me. Any idea why? You need to select the party member (the arrow buttons on top) and then select the gift. You cannot gift something to yourself PRO TIP: Leliana loves shoes. Bulovski
/casts Horror on the above two. Afty - Zevran sucks at lockpicking (zero). But his dialogue and fking awesome combat skills make up. I need that extra combat because I am a mage. My char does the kissy with Morrigan when Zevran is in the party. His comment is hilarious. And then Zevran disapproves (-3) The writing is classic and seems better because of the voice acting as well. Alistair and Morrigan are at it like cat and dog. hammerhead
Crap, I thought that Leliana comes later in the game. Now its over and she is no where to be seen I finished the entire game without her ever joining my party. And here I thought I had explored every part of it (spend 50+ hours) Now I have to start again.

Rule #9 in the RPG book: Enter every goddamn building in the town.
