Monokuma
Rise the claim right now. Ebay will contact you to send pics etc. Send a screenshot of that Whatsapp msg as well. He is trying to scam you. The money will still be with paisapay and they will refund you. The seller won't get their money till you confirm. Do not confirm. Kazekage Gaara
Thanx a lot guys. He's gonna raise the dispute Most f**ked up part is, that seller a**hole bought it off paytm at 1500 discount and was selling it at 500 less on Ebay. He probably made 800 bucks off the deal. Edit: Lol, my friend told the seller that he contacted Ebay CC and that they suggested NOT ACCEPTING ITEM RECEIPT, and the first thing the seller asked was... did u tell them that parcel comes via paytm ? He's scared shitless
Big Boss
Tell your friend to stop contacting the seller.
piper
When eBay contacts you, they will offer 110% refund as coupons. Just ask for direct refund in account, and they will do it.
CarbonCore
Yeah stop talking to the seller. I mean, tell your friend
IshmaelIsBack
Absolutely raise dispute right away without delay. Trademark scamming right there. Also, post the scammer's ebay handle so that IVG members don't get to deal with the fraud by accident.
godspeed4476
Coupons? WTF! Am gonna suggest my friend to not even wait for 10 days. Its your option, they do try to push the coupons, and its actually a bit more attractive as u get a slightly higher amount. The buyer protection is good on ebay, i was refunded via coupon promptly when i raised an issue. No matter how genuine the guy seems to be, just report it immediately. Focus on getting the money back and not on judging people
Keyofx
Still ebay has a much better buyer protection then any other ecom site out there. Agreed. The key is only choose sellers with high ratings. It's actually a lot safer than most people think.
kmkaks
@Kaazekage Gaare - 1. I recently got a defective item from an E - Bay seller, I raised the issue with E -Bay customer care as well as the seller and got a coupon @ 110% of the amount I had paid from Ebay + the seller(96% rating) personally called me and promised me that such mistakes will never happen from his part again and asked me to keep the defective item. He also agreed to refund half the money I had payed into my bank account if I change the negative feedback I had posted to positive. 2. However the Ebay customer care guy also told me that I had to spend the coupon code within 1 month from the date of receipt of coupon code. 3. Just like BigBoss mentioned above read through the Paypal FAQ carefully.
Paapi
I had a similar incident with ebay. Bought Galaxy tab but got stones.. turned out it was blue dart delivery guy who did it... but the seller was the one who had to suffer the losses.. I got the money back after 28 days... Also seller can get your contact details anytime from your ebay profile...
Big Boss
Yeah seller should insure the items in such cases. Also how do you know blue dart guy did it and not the seller himself?
Paapi
The reason I know is 1) The item was received without Ebay packing. It was just bubblewrap with brown paper and lot of tapes. It is a mandate to courier that you cannot pickup package from seller if it is not in ebay packing. Shipment was received by my father and he is not aware of such things thats why he accepted it. 2) When the issue was raised, I had the investigation officer visit me with the delivery guy to confirm how the shipment was received and as per the discussion they knew it was him who did it. Ph3N0M
^Then what happened to the delivery guy who tampered with the parcel?
NightTroller
Glad your friend raised a dispute. Ebay and Aliexpress have a very good buyer protection plan. Also even if the supplier genuinely ordered from Paytm and redirected it to your friend's address; the onus is on supplier to ensure that the items are being shipped properly. Even if we believe that the supplier is genuine he should have ordered items to his address; verified by weight and then shipped it to you. For future always ensure that you raise a dispute as soon as possible; after 10 or so days if you dont take any action the amount gets credited to suppliers account. HotSonix
to receive the actual refund you will have to ship the good back to the seller. Otherwise ebay cc will give you a 110% coupon
