Game Critic Totalbiscuit Dies At 33

Quote

After retiring from games criticism at the start of the month, YouTube personality John “Totalbiscuit” Bain has passed away.

Bain, who was 33, was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2014. It went into remission, only to return last year and spread to his liver and spine. Earlier this month, he announced his retirement from games criticism, saying that chemotherapy was no longer working and his liver was failing. He said he planned to continue streaming and video-making, but in the form of co-op gameplay with his wife in hopes that she’d take over his channel when he was gone.

RIP :(

some Bioware devs(one ex-dev and one current) made some bad remarks on his death :/
I mean at times even I did not agree with him but still making fun of TB or mocking him after his death is going too low..

Loved his "WTF is" video reviews. One of the more reliable and fun video game YouTube personality. Sad to hear about his passing, life can be so cruel sometimes.

There's another youtube personality that i like that is also battling health issues -his name is Elric Phares who reviews PC gaming stuff like cpu Motherboards, graphics cards etc. He's lost a lot of weight and almost died last month. Hope he recovers completely.

No new GPUs from NVidia for a long time according to NVidia CEO:

Excerpts from the article:

"Unfortunately at Computex 2018, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang handed out even more bad news for PC gamers this week when he announced that new next-gen GPUs from Nvidia won’t be available for “a long time.

"And now, Huang has all but confirmed that anyone trying to wait things out until next-gen hardware arrives is going to have to sit on their hands a little longer."

So no new series GPU from Nvidia for quite a bit of time it seems.

Smoke and mirrors, nVidia rarely announces new GPU families at Computex. It is always prior or immediately post the trade show. Computex is generally used to launch partner products based on their GPU solutions.

Naah! Would not be surprised if later in this year itself or Q1 of next year.

Personally, I think the next series will come in 2019 (mid maybe). There was no need to make that statement, unless they actually wanted to delay the next set of cards. Not to mention, the article is from Tuesday (I only found it today though; sorry for late post), so it's already been a couple of days since Computex. And we have not heard anything new since.

For 2018 release they should have announced something by now, instead of making such statements. We are already halfway through the year without hearing anything.

Just my opinion though. I'm not an expert in the industry.

If AMD releases 7mm Navi this year and it outright outperforms current nvidia gpu. Nvidia will respond with gpu. I am pretty sure new gpu's from Nvidia will be available by august.

There was absolutely a need for such a statement, with the extremely curtailed stocks of GPU's available till now. The same reason that Lisa Su had to stand up and state that Navi will be available for gamers by next year.

Again, Computex is the last place to look for any announcement from nVidia, they only do PR statements alongside partner announcements. Check the last couple of releases, all the way up to Tesla 2.0 (pre-Fermi).

AMD will release the professional variants of the cards first. So anything before 2019 is highly unlikely.

If nothing is announced in July then we no new Gpu's this year.

Uh! No, they can always announce in Q3 and have a bumper Q4. Like how they did with the GTX9XX series launch.
