It was not banned as much as it was withdrawn, I found plenty of console copies available at Brigade Road, Bangalore (both sides) when I was doing my graduation there. I am sure, if you go to Palikka or Alpha or any other major grey market areas you would find the game brought in. Just not officially. The people who face crashing problems are the one who download the mods without reading any instruction and then scratch their heads . These are the RPG games where a small mod/fix of few kb can greatly enhance your game ( FOV slider , UI change , Inventory management ) .
