Rod said Gears 4 is our first proper Gears and we want to prove hardcore fans that we can make a good Gears game. So they are making Gears 1 style game with Gears 3 gameplay mechanics. If you are not fan then this will not do anything for you. It's a Gears game with same solid gunplay and cover mechanics that we all love. 343 played safe with Halo 4 but tried new things with 5 by adding new mechanics nd all.. The gameplay is solid in gears everyone knows, but if the story is good we are looking at great reviews. The mp is only secondary,otherwise halo 5 would have got great scores too. Yes i did, one of my fav. series. Dont think they'll port older games now, Instead i hope they focus time and energy on making pc port of gears 4 decent. MGSV was also released without releasing older games, so its not new. I'm looking at the 'Conquering the Fort' footage and it looks dam good. If MS could just have a proper local pricing on their titles, it would be a total win. They could really profit from bringing the remaining sequels on PC too. I mean, this seems like the perfect time to do that seeing as how there is so much hype around this game. It's clear they just port it without optimising it properly. Only Forza Apex run smoothly on Windows 10. If they treat it like QB port then expect same huge patches. Highly unlikely,they would rather concentrate on releasing an optimised game or bring other new games. Same reason they are not bringing halo 5 to pc.
