Halo Wars 2 Day one on PC bro.. RTS Halo makes more sense on PC than FPS Halo...PC is Home of RTS games. :D

They never cared about Gears 1 or Halo 2 PC sales. Gears was used to push gwfl and Halo 2 for Vista. If they cared, both games would have been available for sale on different stores etc. This game also they are just using to push windows 10. They don't give a sh*t about PC sales for this game.

The model for Windows 10 is very different from Vista.. Most of the folks are already migrating from 8 to 10 which is free. On top of that we have Dx12. Also halo2 port was really bad. This game looks like a proper port for now. A lot of things have changed in the way MS functions. Let's wait for the official announcement before jumping to conclusions based on history

Cover system and movement is similar to Gears 3

 

 

The movement and cover system feel more like Gears 3. You can revive squadmates without popping out of cover, dodge in any direction, and even change weapons while roadie running.

 

Weapons can be toggled while Roadie Running (the actual switch happens after the run ends)

 

Controls now offer 30 levels of analog stick sensitivity, just like in Gears 3

 

Players can switch between Alternate controls and the new Tournament controls

 

 

They have also changed lot of things in gameplay.It plays like a modern Gears game.

No it doesn't

 

You cant down enemy...pick him up as shield to take cover & then tag a nade on him & throw towards enemies

 

You know exactly what all i'm talking about....don't act ignorant

Iam talking about movement and cover system mechanics...Grab and Tag and Meat Shield is not there along with Horde and Beast mode, but cover system and movement is exactly like Gears 3..Character animations are similar to Gears 3.

It's because it's a remake of the original. They're gunning us, the original fanbase who play the game to this day on the X360 believe it or not because of the highest skillset involved in a TPS arena shooter EVER, not the sequels which EPIC went on to bring in more populace, most importantly, the casual CoD audience. This is precisely the reason why Halo 2 Anniversary (despite how much of a broken tier piece of sh*t the matchmaking was at launch or maybe even now) was remade brick for brick in sync with the original Halo 2, and not Reach or Halo 4, to cater to the original fanbase.

 

Gears of War has asymmetrical maps from a general design standpoint but varies drastically in sequels. The original had maps more focused on CQC with extremely tight corners for a 4v4 design which elevate the tension in a 1 v 4 situation compared to 2 & 3 where the world is open to accommodate a 5v5 design. This also brings in weapon design and hit detection (which was SSHD in the original and later evolved to be CSHD). Assault rifle hit boxes were optimal and the most important part, there's no stopping power. Frags, Boom, HoD and most power weapons were buffed in both 2 & 3 to suit the casuals for pick up & play. The only downer (no pun intended) were that you'd go down with a single active from a longshot (these were famously called "active downs" within the entire Gears community and the ones who do it were looked down upon as n00bs/casuals), which EPIC stood by as a design decision even with their final annex update (title updates had names during the gears 1 timeframe) much to even the community's outrage. That said, most players will not active down you at all as a goodwill of the playerbase.

 

I can't explain this but this is quite personal for many of us who's sunk in thousands, if not innumerable hours into Gears 1 as a community, in india. I started XBL on the original Xbox because of Ninja Gaiden's Hurricane Packs and a bunch of fighting games like Capcom vs SNK2, Street Fighter IIIRD Strike, DOA Ultimate, and a bit of Halo 2 of course. But Gears is something really close to all us during the Indian X360 launch (some of us had imported NTSC/J X360's and had the game earlier) as it brought the community altogether, before Halo 3. Many of us played it day in day out even taking leaves on weekdays. All nighters would happen very often, weekend or not. It's more like what KZ2 was to IVG than KZ3 & Shadowfall. All because of how much skill it demands.

 

 

 

i personally would have bought it in an instant if gameplay was upgraded to 3 or Judgment

i just have hard time imagining myself going on to bare-bones gameplay of 10 year old first game

after having so much fun with 3 & J

 

 

Precisely why they are NOT doing it. You're (Gears 3 or Judgment players who haven't played the original) not their target audience, no matter what PR spin MSFT or The Coalition comes up with. It's a new studio and they know that the community loves the original Gears of War dearly. Since Gears 4's design is heavily inspired from the original, this might be testing grounds for them as a studio too.

Gears 4 will play like a modern Gears game but it will not be bright and colorful with 4 player co-op like Gears 3 and Judgement...Coliation is going back to Gears 1 design of dark/Gothic environment

Halo 5 end of the day is ugraded version of 4 & not 2

Halo 5 is nothing like Halo 4 in gameplay...Halo 5 is way more fast paced than Halo 4 with ADS nd all.. It looks more like COD/Titfanfall than Halo 4 :P

Hey want happened to Anip and Gautam, they totally disappeared from the scene.

Anip has disappeared completely...Gautam is still here...he is co-director at rolling dice studios...it's a production house..Even consoul will make a comeback soon...not as a lounge though...
