Of course there's better lighting and the texture is a whole lot better in the reskinned version, but I think the game looks more suited in the old dark color palette with dull lighting! Earlier this year, word came out about Gears of War being remade for the current generation of hardware. They wanted to get something new in the hands of players while making Gears of War 4. Every animation and every part of the game’s graphical base has been remade. The original code has been used, but they’ve remade everything they possibly could. Epic has been helping The Coalition out with things, and instead of just up-ressing textures, they want to remake them completely. The gameplay will now be presented in 1080p and at 60 FPS, and you can participate in the Gears of War beta now and experience that. The switch to 60 FPS puts the gameplay on par with current-gen shooters, and they’ve added PvP from Gears 3.
