They are the same with different UI and some performance boosts. 10 doesn't look that bad, I think it be better than 7. im sure 10 will have some bugs and glitches plus Backward comp. problems and driver support will take time on release.thats why dualboot till Win 10 becomes errmm "complete" @Alpha Iam using Windows 7 right now and plan to upgrade only around next year when more games start taking advantage of DX12 not right now. Iam in no hurry to upgrade. Based on early previews, Windows 10 is a much better OS than 7 and 8. It's getting lot of praise from tech sites..Those who tried Windows 10 beta said OS is quite good, much better than 7 and 8. Go check some previews. And dual boot with Steam OS? Why? I don't see any reason to switch to Steam OS..There aren't many games there, only bunch of indie devs are supporting Steam OS not big AAA devs..I don't expect EA, 2K and Ubisoft to release games for Steam OS like they do for Windows PC. Only a dumb blind Valve fanboy will use Steam OS or Dual-boot Steam OS with Windows 10 lol. I will just install Steam on my Windows machine enjoy games like iam enjoying right now...You can switch to Steam OS if you want [emoji14] Also, there's hardly any kind of hype or excitement for Steam OS, even Valve seem more interested in their new V.R thing than Steam OS..They are working with MS to make sure VIVE works great on Windows 10 Early beta version was released just to check all that...You expect Steam OS to be bug free? You think it will work flawlessly without any kind of problems at launch? Steam was total sh*t and full of problems when it was launched..It took Valve years to fix it and make it usable.. And if you are already installing a copy of Windows (get the most stable one) and install a Linux distro / some other alternative. Even that got a rousing reception from the press. The performance increment was huge. Installing the same on a spinner itself cut down my boot time in half (~30s from more than a minute). On SSD, if I do not have a password. I would be on the desktop in two seconds flat after the POST. Games run better, smoother, load times have decreased and the performance overhead of Aero Glass is out the door. But I waited till Windows 8.1, why because the OS had its fair share of issues which are only being fully addressed with this 'free' rollout of Windows 10. Maybe you have a PC that a tech site has but other people do not and I would rather avoid being a guinea pig for hardware that may or may not work out on the new OS. Iam using Windows 7 right now and plan to upgrade only around next year when more games start taking advantage of DX12 not right now. Iam in no hurry to upgrade. Okay mate. Absolutely, i was an avid PC gamer and then i saw Gears of War, i had never been so excited about a game in my life before that. I have the steelbook edition too. When i die i want to be buried with collection of both GOW Din't know that Guitar controller won't work, well that means i will just shelve the plan. CONFIRMED 1080p 60FPS IN BOTH S.P AND M.P Microsoft has just announced the Gears of War Ultimate Edition.
