South Park: The Fractured But Whole

Spent a good 3 hours with the game and I'm enjoying it. Definitely not on the same level as Stick of Truth, but pretty dam good. I'm currently the Blaster class and the combat has been relatively simple. I miss having Butters as my sidekick in this game. He was my go-to bud in the previous one. I'm still very early in the game. but so far my party consists of Kyle, Clyde & Jimmy. Jimmy & Clyde have good AoE attacks, while Kyle is great for healing. I wonder if they level up with us and can be customized later on.

I really hate the toilet mini-game; it's ridiculous. Don't really find any point in that and has the worst control combos during those sequences. People find it difficulty on keyboard and here I can only master them with a keyboard. Controller rotation doesn't cut it for me. :(

Uplay sucks big time, that denuvo update and separate installation. Why would poopisoft made their own client? it's unwanted and shitty, it said it wants to update and when I press yes ok f**king do it then it just fails everytime and say something went wrong and couldn't update :wallbash:just because of this game. I won't be able to get AC Origins because of this sh*t.

So that they don't have to share profits with Valve. That's the only reason it exists.

Still need to share profits for the steam version. steam version sales > uplay only version sales

uplay uses potato servers if you're planning to buy AC origins buy the steam version (although you still need to login to uplay  but steam will update the game without any problems)

Who buys games from Uplay... LOL

It's better for them to dissolve this client. Nobody wants it.

Yea i'll buy from steam (obviously) but I'm still skeptical about that game. Should've bought this one from steam as well if I knew they'll ditch the origin version.

Yes, you need UPLAY.

Interesting that Steam version has achievements. Usually Ubisoft games on Steam don't have.

South Park Stick of Truth was the last ubi game to have achievements in steam. Far Cry Primal has trading cards but no steam achievements.

Just finished the 1st night mission. Dam that was quite long and f*cking hilarious.

Spoiler

The Spontaneous Bootay fight really pissed me off. Had to go through it 3-4 times to finally make it. My own character died pretty early in the fight, thankfully, Captain Diabetes had some excellent knock back moves.

I wish we they would have allowed a fight with Bootay and also those Italian mobsters at the end.

Man this game is picking up now. I'm yet to find the higher level artifacts yet.

Iam n00b when it comes to turn based games. Will I enjoy it?  Is there a option where I can skip or auto win all battle?

Stick of Truth was my first turn based game. I managed to beat it without any issues and I hadn't watched a single South Park episode, yet, I absolutely loved the game.

I think this game is way more forgiving as it has a grid based pattern and you can predict the moves and plan accordingly. No option to skip the battles unfortunately. The humour is what kept me going along with the the South Park world it managed to depict so perfectly, even for new comers. I'd highly recommend it. If there is a demo, try that perhaps.

Why would you want to skip battle in turn-based battle? What? vcBTulh.png

The game isn't for you if you don't have the patience for turn-based combat. Even though it is easy, it still needs time and proper decision making every turn.

Done with the second night and another amazingly long battle.

I'll stick to Cartman being the funniest character in the whole franchise. His dialogues always manages to crack me up. The night missions are the true highlight of this game. The rest is very basic stuff like side missions and collectibles, which were much better in Stick of Truth. I think I'm half way through the game now. Let's see how it goes towards the end.
