I completed on Ultra hard and my experience was completely different than my first playthrouh. It was more enjoyable and rewarding.

 

 

The difficulty easy to very hard just increases HP bars and damage output. The machines still run the same pattern and the arrows do the same job.

 

Except it will take more but that doesn't matter since you are always loaded with shite ton of materials to craft arrows as per your need. It only extends the fight and not add a challenge. What you do in a minute will be just extended to 5 minutes.

 

Go play Primal survival mode and you will understand the difference between challenge vs increasing difficulty means.

Rewarding how? There is absolutely NOTHING you buy or get is useful. What's the point? The game just keeps throwing you trashy rewards which do nothing but pile your inventory.

I barely used tearblaster as it made the game way to easy. Just used the hardpoint arrows and concentration ability to hit the soft spot.

Graphically the games looks great at first but it slowly becomes stale. However, more of those Corrupted zones and Cauldrons would have maintained the interest. 

 

Tip: Don't get the Shield-Weaver armor, it'll make you invincible. Get it later if you're going for platinum.

There's a survival mode in Farcry Primal?  It was not there when I played it. Looks like they added it later. 

 

HZD is far more enjoyable game than Primal. Ultra hard is also basically survival mode coz resources are scarce and enemies are more aggressive. You have to plan for every battle.

Graphics was good alright, but I liked the game more for the combat and the story. Also, I felt the combat was quite good / challenging until the end (atleast until you get the ancient armor) and never got tired of the combat.  My only gripe was the lack of entertaining side quests / activities, considering its an open world game.  To each his own I guess !

No complaints regarding the combat. I actually like the combat.  Yet to play the story. Let's see how it goes.  

 

Side quests/activities aren't good sadly. Felt like a drag/filler most times.

Cauldrons are easily one of the best parts of the game. I like bandit camps too even though human AI isn't good. Fun to sneak around and clear.

 Some side quests are good in every game.  Even the crappiest games have some good side quests. 

 

Most of the sides quests were nothing but go to X location or scan and walk the highlighted path or kill some machine. Yeah. GOOD QUEST. The characters had no attachment to anything. Just generic filler content to extend the game. 

 

Feels like just because the game is a PlayStation 4 exclusive people will praise it and defend it to death. Make it a multi platform or change the logo to Xbox One or Ubisoft and automatically everyone will start looking at the flaws the game has.

Combat is Memorable and Outstanding.Graphics and World are Memorable and Outstanding.Even the greatest open world games cant match the Combat and the Beauty.You will never be bored plus they have added new modes now.

 

Also,game doesn't take rpg mechanics seriously and it Clearly doesn't try to be 100s of rpg clones out there.Do this do that,go there come  here BullShit.The Focus is Combat,Exploration,Main Story and Aloy.

 

I would even say either do it like the Witcher 3 or do it like Horizon.Thats the Bar now.

Graphics are great, no denying. But the so called world is lifeless. Where you go, you see the same set of machines which you already saw in a previous zone. Humans are as good as not included in the game.

Yeah, yeah, on my way to finishing up the story. Probably wrap it up today.

 

Combat doesn't bore but the things around it bore me after a while. The rewards absolutely garbage. Level 35 and I'm still seeing the same low-level trash in most areas. At least level them up. I don't even fight these trash anymore as they are not worth it.  

 

I wish the game had more combat class machines. They are my favourite. As for the machines, yeah, all done except Faro machines - Deathbringer & Metal Devil.

 

Again, not a bad game. Not great either. Just somewhere in middle for me.

I'm already picking a game from each of those publishers. FIFA, Battlefront, Assassin's Creed: Origins, South Park, XCOM 2 expansion, WWE 2K18 (even though it is awful)...

Frame rate issue is there but still you must play it.  

 

 

Sony enhancing all exclusives but not Bloodborne which really needs a Pro patch.  What a bunch of idiots. Enhancing Infamous Second Son over 90+ game like Bloodborne which won many goty awards in 2015.

The problem with the game is that it doesn't appreciate what you do. Even if you take down the biggest machine on hardest, you are still given some trash which is absolutely of no use. The exploration is NOT rewarding. What's the point of having such a gorgeous and detailed world when the machines maintain their level and the rewards are always some crappy crafting item? On top of that, the world is so big that it can use more variety of machines. Seeing a level 5 watcher near the end is hilarious. Poor little one stuck in the middle. And the big machines are lacking as in very few around the world. I play quite slow and explore every little area. Kind of burned out to see same machines everywhere.  

 

So far saw only 1 Thunderjaw, 2 Stormbirds, 2 Behemoths, 5-7 Stalkers, and shite ton of other machines. Killing other machines would have been fun if it helped you in any way towards your journey. They are just there. That's it.

 

Throw in random encounters with Stormbird or pull a Rockbreaker out of nowhere. That anticipation is missing. So much potential. 
 

Tallnecks are sadly disappointing. Even the ones on top left zone were very easy to climb. But I guess it's fine. Something different than usual towers to reveal the map.

 

Last inventory, crafting and buying/selling - waste of time. Sitting with 5000+ scraps and find it of no use. Very limited amount of weapons and armour, in fact, most of them are not even required or provide you with any kind of boost. No point in upgrading your outfit/weapon satchel to 35 when the games don't have that many items to buy... Potions - don't remember using any other than HP potion. Traps - LOL. The weapons already cover everything. 

 

Yeah, sucks as an RPG. Good as an action game. Would work much better if it just focused on the action part of the game.

I really want to, trust me. It's one among the first batch of games I purchased but was so disappointed to see how it ran. Headache level. Can really use a patch or two.

i know the feel,halfway through when you're swimming in shards and get all the purple bows,theres literally nothing else to do(except story,if that hasn't been done yet)
they you pile up shards and other resources,the loot from the machines becomes useless
it is even more so once you get the shield weaver armor,which is basically god-mode
