Got bored of the game after playing for about 10 hours. Left it and never bothered to boot it up again. Strictly a mediocre title. Nothing more nothing less. Ponies need to expand their horizons more rather than hyping up mediocre titles like HZD and TLG to the moon

TLG is mediocre :O

Nothing against Big Boss. ❤️

The problem with the game is that it doesn't appreciate what you do. Even if you take down the biggest machine on hardest, you are still given some trash which is absolutely of no use.

That's strange.  Have they changed the game or something ? Purple mods are mostly available with big enemies, but yeah, they tend to stack up after a while if you keep taking down the bigger ones all the time.

I think some of you are taking the open world too seriously and playing this game like oblivion/witcher series (completing all the side quests first, roaming around the world etc).  So you must have all the mods/parts required, and no wonder you feel the game is a drag since its too easy now.   That's not how its meant to be played (IMO of course) , the game is more enjoyed when you balance main quests with side quests.

Anyway, like someone said above, no game can appeal to all :P

The frame rate is bad. Actually, can notice it unlike other games, but fine, I'll check on it again after this. GelFUyP.png

Hmm. Releasing along with Crackdown 3.

I probably won't get on day 1 since Origins, Wolfenstein II, Payback and other games will be releasing during the same period.

This will require base game too, I suppose? Which means can't sell and that sucks as I don't want this on my shelf.

  • 2 weeks later...

Done with the game. WS0225T.png

Good:

  • Graphics. Absolutely gorgeous world.
  • Main story. Despite awful characters, the main missions were good. The last few ones mainly and the ending was lovely. OqIrtRH.png
  • Some activities and exploration.
  • Fluid combat.
  • OST

Bad:

  • RPG elements.
  • Awful side quests.
  • Bland characters. Disappointing.
  • Non-rewarding exploration.

Overall - not a bad game. Still enjoyable but if you have already played a lot of open world games, this really doesn't offer much. Killing machines got tedious over time. The humans were just waste and the whole side quests felt like stretching the game to 40-50 hours.

7-8/10. Not bad. Not great. Some good moments.

Being smart will count for nothing if you don’t make the world a better place. You have to use your smarts to count for something, to serve life, not death. VfyUeKE.png

Quick question - if I sell the game now and get it later if I plan to play the DLC, will my save files work with the digital copy?

Pretty sure the dlc is more of a stand alone expansion, you won't need the disc to play it. Much like Uncharted lost legacy.

Sadly it's not.

From store page: To use this download, you must own Horizon Zero Dawn (sold separately).

I finally started playing the game, even though i have had it for about 2 months.

Just finished the proving level..... i have like 5 skill points available at this moment. Which are the skills that really help and i should unlock first. I already have Silent strike, silent drop, concentration, Lure call and Gatherer.

Among the most noticeable changes,

‘Story’ difficulty boosts the player-inflicted damage and reduces the player-received damage considerably, making the combat encounters manageable for less experienced players. It is our hope that the new difficulty setting will help us welcome more players onto Aloy’s quest to discover her identity and the mysteries of the world she inhabits. In addition to the ‘Story’ difficulty, Patch 1.32 includes several fixes as outlined in the patch notes.

LOL
