Guys should I keep on playing the main story missions till the time I don't get that OP OP armor? Will I miss something if I don't do anything else? I really want to do other stuff but not without that armor. :P

IMO, doing the 'other things' (side quests) would be way more fun without the armour. Do them as you go along with the main story.

The OP armour, as good as it is, sorta gets the fun out of the game.

I got the armour after the main story and I am doing the remaining side quests now, and it just doesn't feel like a challenge anymore.

P.S.: Haven't tried NG+ mode yet, but heard it's a challenge even with the OP armour.

Shield-Weaver armour is the last thing you need.

The side quests are absolute trash. I'd suggest you do it only if you have a lot of time.

Second, don't waste time killing all machines as most of the quests are nothing but go here, kill X machine, rinse and repeat. The RPG elements are crap and anything you get doesn't help you.

Play it as an action game and focus on the story alone before it burns you out.

Are you into trophies? If NO, then focus on main story and move on..

Yes, Armor is useless on Ultra hard NG+...

2nd best armor in the game? Nora silent hunter is kinda cool because it adds stealth and you can always dodge but is there any other armor that is worth buying/trying? Poorly designed skill tree...other skills in tinker tree line are bad but I want that skill. I also want triple arrows but then other skills in that line are sheet. Damn! :(

Also what items are safe to sell?

Finished 80% of the game with starting armour and 20% with Carja Silks. Just update your mods. Carja Silks is pretty neat as it doesn't offer any base stats but comes with 3 mod slots.

Honestly, it doesn't matter. Nothing is really worth it. They are all terrible by the time you realise.

As for skill tree, again, doesn't matter. Just unlock in any order as you can unlock everything.

As for the items, I kept ammo materials. Again, doesn't matter. Selling doesn't really help you outside keeping your inventory half full. You will be sitting with 5-10k scrapes with nothing to buy other than HP potions.

OK, so I'm 50% through the game and loving every bit of it. Been playing it for this whole week non-stop.

I like that it doesn't require a heavy grinding but allows progression naturally throughout the course of the game. Leveling up is rather simple and easy. You can fast travel & quick save at any point, even during a mission in progress, which is really good.

I love how this game has a balanced difficulty even after getting most of the elite weapons. I have most of the shadow weapons & full set of Lodge weapons. These are slapped with a decent set of purple mods. However, I still face quite a lot of challenge taking down a Stormbird or even a Thunderjaw. I may need to refine my strategy/gear set-up, but I like how it's not completely easy at this point.

I went through the whole set of Cauldron areas last night and boy were the brilliant. The whole level design was so atmospheric. Now I can over-ride all the machines.

Speaking of beasts, this game deserves a true hats off to the creativity of the machines it has created. The enemy variety is spectacular. All this while I just keep thinking how glorious it would look and run on the PC @60fps. The way these beasts are designed and their weakness placed are remarkable.

Quick question for those who have completed the game, how did you farm the purple mods? Specifically, the damage & fire ones. Also, I'm running out of shards rather quickly.

Yeah, I too really liked the game. The game looks amazing in HDR even in 1080p on ps4 slim. Stormbird are tricky even at level 50 only thing is you have tie it down with rope caster. Thunderjaw is easy. tear blast arrows to both disc launcher and killing it with that. Best way to farm purple mods. I haven't played it for a while though, they keeping messing up things with each update. Overall amazing game eagerly waiting for Frozen lands DLC

Just finished the game with 100% completion. F*ckin' epic! An easy Game of the year winner for me, no question. What an brilliant game and the ending was equally epic. The main theme is just mesmerizing. I hope Guerrilla games drops the Killzone franchise now and focuses on different IP's. They clearly have the talent and Sony's backing. So might as well bring up games like this or something fresh.

Personally, I'd say this game, Nier Automata & Resident Evil 7 were the true highlights of this year till now. Just waiting for The Evil Within 2 and the rest of the stock for this month to arrive.

I'll probably re-visit this game again. It's definitely one for the keeps.

....and Platinum'd it (not the New Game+ & UH one). YAY!

My first Platinum trophy. :)

This one was relatively simple. I thought the data points would have accounted for the overall trophy as there were so many of them to collect. But thankfully, they weren't.

Horizon Zero Dawn Game of the Year Edition Leaked

A Game of the Year edition of Horizon Zero Dawn appears to have been leaked ahead of an official announcement.

No confirmation for the PlayStation 4 game has been revealed at this point, but watchful gamers quickly picked up on a listing for the game that appeared on Play Asia’s website. It appears as though the reveal of Horizon Zero Dawn’s special version was unintentional from Play Asia’s end; attempting to navigate to the retailer’s listing for the game will instead reroute players to a 404 page that doesn’t contain a listing for the game.

However, some were able to catch a glimpse of the game’s listing and screenshot it before it was taken down. The above image shows proof of the game’s rerelease as a Game of the Year edition and also lists a price and a release date. According to the listing that was briefly up on Play Asia’s site, Horizon Zero Dawn Game of the Year Edition will be priced at $49.99 and is scheduled for a Dec. 5 release.

The release date for the game gives players just enough time to add it to their wishlists or gift the game for the holidays, but the listing didn’t provide any information about a Western release. It’s expected that the game will receive a widespread release due to its quick success on the PlayStation 4, but an exact date has yet to be revealed.
