What a rush the last few chapters are but that ending is So does the story take place in an alternate timeline compared to the original because the whole destiny/fate stuff was just nonsensical and it's just being set up so when that aerith/seph scene comes, they can change the outcome. Speaking of sephiroth what a badass and still has amazing screen presence even after all those years, he's extremely overused in this game, in the original he hardly appears till this point.
