It’s an incentive that ppl Sony always wanted.

Anyway, I don't mind Intergrade being PS5 exclusive but they could have easily offered the paid DLC to purchase on PS4. I regret "buying" the game on PS4 and not holding out for the PC release. Anyway, the base game was worth it and well, you'll need a PS5 to play part 2 anyway, so I'll get around to it eventually. Just have to wait a few years.

Ppl got really mad when they “supposedly” made a u turn on generations(which they didn’t apart from GT7).

Ppl really wanted some incentive for buying next gen apart from the 60fps advantage.

I wanted it too back when I bought PS3 & 4 on launch.

It's actually not any loss you made. When you get a PS5 - you will get the Intergrade DLC for free. That is - you will get the native PS5 version with all graphical improvements and 60 fps locked for free. You would not have got this if you had claimed the free PS+ version. You even got to enjoy the game 1 year early.

You will only need to buy the Story DLC (Intermission). That is 1600 Rs full price. By the time you buy it - it will be discounted even further, and you will have sales as well.

Compare this to buying on the PC - you will be paying close to 5000 Rs for the package. It's just not worth it. You got a far better deal I would say.

On PC, it's a whole-sale loot. SE got the money from Epic for making it Epic Store exclusive. They are banking on getting even more money from people buying it at (more than) full price.

You're too deep into this, man. Snap out of it.

Predecessor, adoration, wtf are you on about.

Yoire building imaginary lore out of IVG console fanboy wars.

Atleast I’m not making imaginary accounts to abuse ppl :giggle:

We all know how deep things can go.

Also it’s pretty evident that you just have!! to follow my every post in every thread to make a counter statement.
It was just about why some things are on PS5 only in year one, nothing else.

I bought the PS4 this year and got PS+ pretty much only for FF7R (well, more like I have since derived no other value out of PS+).

Oh well, lesson learned I suppose. I should have bought physical or digital. lol

If I am not mistaken, this game is a part of FF7 remake. So in whole, FF7 original would have been 40~50 USD. FF7 remake will be 70*2 or 70*3 USD.

Yes but 50 usd in 1997, though i agree that would still be around 80-90 bucks considering inflation. However this is a completely new game barring story elements. The first part plays like a full game so worth the price.

Didn't get you (Are you referring to 70*2 = $140 and 70*3 = $210)? Anyway Intergrade is just a fancy name for the PS5 upgrade. It's similar to Sony naming stuff "Director's Cut". It's free. If you have the PS+ version, you can still buy the PS4 version of the game (Physical edition) and still spend much less.

So assume you buy brand new physical version. It's Rs 2200 ($29.06) on Amazon (No sales). You will get the "Intergrade" i.e. PS5 upgrade patch for free.

Now "Intermission" is the name of the Story DLC. It's Rs 1600 full price ($21.13).

So all in all, with no sale prices - you will only be spending $50 for the complete PS5 version, including all DLC. You will spend even less, if you are able to get the base game on 2nd hand or sale, and DLC on sale.

This is a far cry from spending $70 on the game.

FF7 Original is a PS1 game, and it's completely different. Story has already changed between original FF7 and FF7 Remake, to the point the Remake can be considered an alternate timeline. Similarly FF7 Remake Part 2 will also be a brand new game, with a different story than the one on the PS1 OG FF7.

As expected - it was just a very simple cash grab. Easy money for SE. Get free truckload of money from Epic for exclusive, price at $70 for those who cannot or will not play on PS, and just rake in the cash.

PS5 is the best way to play. But PS4 is not that bad. The game was built up from the ground for the PS4, so it shows. PC is most probably the absolute worst of the lot. Would not be surprised if they did not even bother to optimize it, and it ends up being a system hog.

This really shows which version had the most love put into it, and which version was made in 1 night to beat the deadline.
