I just died twice and went back someone explain what's happening

Where? The prologue section?

If yes, then it doesn't have an save spots till you complete that part entirely. The game does not have an auto-save feature. So you'll have to keep manually saving it when save spots are available. If you're having difficulty clearing the prologue, switch the difficulty to Easy mode.

Yep. The Golden bunny, easy peasy. Good thing I started it at level 60. Didn't look like it would have even budged anything below level 50.

I started attacking him after reaching 70. :P

Just finished route C with ending C & D. F*ck man, emotions overload. :(

I strongly suggest everyone to not stop this game with the first ending and complete all the routes to witness first hand how ingenious it is. Just like the first game, this one tackles a lot of simple themes in a rather unique way; existentialism for example. All of these are handled quite well, albeit in a somewhat bizarre way at times.

Spoiler

Reading through Devola & Popola's struggles was so gut wrenching, it reminded me of Kaine's past in Nier. Emil's side quest of recovering his memories through Lunar Tear was another gem of a quest.

Then the 'C' ending with A2 sacrificing herself to repair 9S was absolutely satisfying. And f*ck that Square Enix part of the final credits hacking mini-game. I tried almost endlessly before giving up on it. What exactly do you get after defeating that segment? Ending E?

I'm still in awe as to how quickly things escalated on this route and changed the entire tone of the game. Yoko Taro, you 'da man. Platinum Games did complete justice to the original Nier.

No difficultly achievements? I don't know what you guys are talking about the route ABCDE whatever is that. Are they mandatory to play for the complete experience?

Very straight forward game. No difficulty achievement and stuff. Easy is very easy. Hard can be very hard. Normal is the best option.

The first playthrough - complete the game. Ending A.

After this everything is up to you. If you have more time, feel free to check other routes.

The second playthrough - Route B. In this Route, you'll be playing through the same narrative as Route 1, only as a different character. It adds loads of elements and grants you access to the third Route later on, which is completely different from the previous two.

The third playthrough and beyond - Route C, D, and E. Yet another playable character at your disposal, with yet another new ability to grind. The ending E is considered as true ending.

At the end of the game, you'll be presented with a choice. Make whichever you prefer and finish the game. Then use Chapter Select to make the choice again, and this time, choose differently. This way you can check out C, D and E.

Rest of the routes F to Z are non-canon. Just waste of time.

Once you're finished, the game will ask if you want to help other struggling players out, to which you must answer NO because otherwise, all of your save data would be removed. Watch the credit and viola.

No you have to play all routes. Route C completely different. Don't give wrong advise. If you don't have time then just don't play this game. You have to play this game to completion to understand why it's such a great game.

Have you not read Ethan_Hunt post above? How his opinion changed after playing full game.

Not really. If you don't have time then don't play this game is the wrong advice. You are not missing 100% experience by not doing other routes. You will be missing 100% if you don't even play.

Not everyone has the time or interested in re-playing the same game just small changes.

Wrong.

Route B is same but you play as 9s.His combat style is completely different.

Route C is completely different in every way.

Routes are basically acts and are absolutely necessary to understand full story.  You have to complete all 3 routes even if you are not interested in 100% completion.  100% completion requires getting all weapons nd completing all side quests.  100% main story completion requires completing all 3 routes as 2b,9S and A2.

You can't YT route C nd B. It's not a f**king Teltale game.  it's a rpg game with some really memorable fights and all. You have to play and experience it yourself.

If you don't have time then just don't bother playing this game. If you want to play then play it the right way.

Because of the route B, not everyone is interested or even bothered to replay the game just to get to route C. Don't need to defend it or ridicule others from playing just the route A.

Second, it's not an RPG game. Next thing people will start calling Metal Gear an RPG game. WL3OVQb.gif

It's 100% action rpg game like Dark Souls. Ask Tyler if you don't believe me . He is by far the most experienced rpg player on this forum.

You create your own play style build with those chips you collect. Chips completely changes your combat style especially on harder difficulties. You can play it as a pure action game on normal or easy but on hard you have to constantly change builds and combat style to get through entire campaign. You also have to level up weapons nd characters to take on higher level enemies.

And I will say it again that you have to complete all routes to understand full story properly. Route A leaves lot of things unanswered. Final route is just Epic and full of emotional moments especially the true ending which you have to play coz it's not a cutscene.

Can't go in detail as it's a spoiler.

That's all I have to say. If you still want to argue and tell everyone wrong way to experience this epic game then go ahead.

Only a fool will YT this game.
