If someone knows fluent Marathi, can you help me understand the basic idea of what this document says? Its from Pune, the world capital of douchebags Although if you can read Hindi you can understand most of written Marathi. The script is nearly 100% identical. Still, I couldn't understand a single marathi term in Singham or any other movie. So, I guess its difficult for a common hindi speaking guy. I can even read Marathi coz as you said the script is near-identical, but understanding the meaning of it is a totally different ball game. There are only a couple of major differences, there's a ळ (he heavier 'l') and extra vowels for English pronunciations. Although Devanagari was only recently adopted. The languages aren't actually that different though. They aren't similar on the level Hindi and Urdu are, but Marathi shares a lot of words with Hindi. Just that there are less Persian words and more Sanskrit words in Marathi. PS. Is that medical term something related to a fast beating heart? Or did you make it up? The languages aren't actually that different though. They aren't similar on the level Hindi and Urdu are, but Marathi shares a lot of words with Hindi. I am a Senior Quality Analyst in the field of Medical Transcription. It is a proper medical term. We've been taught the meaning of these terms. You can break it down... 1. "Paroxysmal" basically means "sudden onset". 2. "Supra" means "SUPERIOR". 3. "Ventricular" means "related to the ventricle". 4. "Tachy" means "rapid". 5. "card" means heart. 6. "ia" means "condition." If you join it together, it forms "paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia" which basically means "sudden-onset rapid heart condition in the superior ventricle."
