Xeno
yea,it doesnt have Master cheif roaming around doing absolutely nothing and ODSTs having ice creams n sh*t on the streets and all.
TRMNTR
^ Well, not really. I don't like it 'cause I won't ever have the time to do what the HOME is actually about. What I mean is that walking around in a virtual world [when that world isn't even a game] is pure vella-panti according to me! I could be using my console for something else instead, say, ummm... GAMING!?! @ SnakeIzBack No offense intended Bro
HOglegtrausavo
The point of home on PSN is to feel like your gaming environment is virtually real. You could actually roam around with your buddies.Cuss at them.If you just wanna game, then pop in the disc and play, nobody is stopping you from doing that .With the PS3's power,It wont hinder your experience.And,vela-panti it is not.Check some of the videos Buddy

If me and my friends are in HOME and want to go play a game together, we can do that. BUT, if I don't want to use HOME to start a game for a party, it isn't possible, is it? Why do I have to log into HOME just to start a game for a party of friends? Why? Why? Solution - They could have just created an XMB compatible party so that people wouldn't require to run a separate application to accomplish the task! PS - This is one of many things I don't like about HOME, buddy

Btw,NXE in 20 DAYS WOOT!!!!
TRMNTR
^ No grudges... Seriously! What I was saying is that I just don't like the idea, that's it [I understand that they are trying to improve the scenario] Just what I think

IshmaelIsBack
@ SnakeIzBack No offense intended Bro None taken , but from the day NXE was revealed till now Ive thought it as a ripoff of Home which was revealed 2 years back for the Delaystation 3 ( as trophies were ripped off from Achievements ) , correct me if i'm wrong cuz it cant be just a co-incidence that 2 Projects like these co-exist and one revealed after some time. HOglegtrausavo
Home and NXE are different.NXE can be related to The MII things and not Home.
IshmaelIsBack
I know the difference between the 2 and that wasnt my query , but the very idea behind the projects.
TRMNTR
I kinda agree with SnakeIzBack. Though It's not exactly a rip-off, more of a motivation The reason why I say that is 'cause both of them are VERY different! TBH, I like NXE better than HOME 'cause... It's got some really nice features like 'Install to HDD', 8 Player Party Chat etc. which I always wanted. It doesn't force us to open an app and then make use of the new features, i.e., everything is integrated within the Dashboard! No walking around some virtual arenas. These features make sure that NXE and HOME are different.
rahul
Could you transfer your invite to me? They ask you for your console id while registering, hence you cant transfer it. Although funny thing is, you can update your console and if you use the same hard drive/memory card on another console it'll be updated as well, but downside is, that unregistered console wont be able to login into Live till 19th. Do update us when you do actually use it!Day 1 Dude, stuck in hostel I will be going home on friday evening. But so many people have got it so am sure they'll do a hands-on review soon. btw this just popped in my mail today The Xbox 360 Fall Flash update will be available to you by 8pm PST on October 30th (11pm EST on October 30th, 3am GMT on October 31st). killroy
Hola people...Im downloading it right now...should be done in..wait lemme check....34 minutes. So stay tuned. As for the Home , NXE discussion...I do own a PS3...and horrible as it may sound, the last REAL game i played on my PS3 is Metal Gear Solid 4. And the next game im really looking forward to is God of War 3. Yes I know resistance 2 is coming and its going to be a great game but there is just something missing...maybe its just that its absolutely dumb when it comes to being able to relate to main character. I really dont care who the hell Nathan hale is. As for Home, im SICK of waiting...and one of those PS3 owners who just want Sony to copy Live completely and just give us a proper online base to play in. Home I think is just all bells and whistles, and Sony has always shown that they have never been great at online innovation. I hope they prove me wrong soon, but as of now nothing really exciting in Home. One thing that Xbox Live can learn from PSN is the original games on PSN. There is NOTHING like Flow, PAIN, Calling All Cars or the loads of other PSN stuff on Xbox Live. Xbox Live has usually been all rehashed boring old sh*t(except few). These PSN games are what keep bringing me back to my PS3 more than actual games. Anyways, ramblings aside...holy sh*t...now it says 53 minutes...damnit damnit damnit(anyone watches robot chicken here?)
MarketTantrik
I'll still have to wait till Sunday to begin my download, but I should be able to post impressions by Sunday night. BTW: I got a HOME beta invite as well.
