TRMNTR
The disc needs to be in the tray in order to be played![Yup, even if you've installed it on the HDD] I wonder if this will work with backup/pirated discs Though again, I don't see why it shouldn't. ThirdOne
Holy Cow !! I just noticed a tiny, but neat trick with the NXE avatars. You must know by now that yo9u can control your avatar's head with the right analog stick. I was fooling around with it and noticed that the avatar's facial expressions change wdepending on the movement. When you rotate the stick rapidly in circles, the avatar's mouth takes on a pukey expression and his eyeball rotate in a dazed expression. If you shake in the stick rapidly from left to right in a "no no no" sorta way, his face turns angry and he bares his teeth menacingly. :rofl2: Its hilarious. Clicking the right stick makes the avatar burp . Try differrent things.

TRMNTR
10,000 more added to NXE preview program Friday 14-Nov-2008 5:10 PM It's the third and final time the company's drafting Xbox Live members for the tryout, and to have a chance of getting in on the action you'll need to have registered previously, says MS blogger Major Nelson. "As before, we're only pulling names from those that originally signed up and this selection process will be at random from those that previously filled out the Connect Program Survey from my original post. Again, this is final wave. All Xbox Live members will be getting the New Xbox Experience via Xbox Live November 19th." If you're chosen you'll receive email confirmation later tonight followed by the update tomorrow. For those of you that haven't been following the build up to its launch, check out this feature for the low-down on NXE.

Keyofx
Found this on TAP: The New Xbox Experience - The Intro, Avatar Creation With the New Xbox Experience update just around the corner, we’re sure a lot of you are just itching to find out just exactly what you’re going to get yourself into. Well, as usual, we manage to save the day by bringing you a series of video walkthroughs of the new dashboard, including the spellbinding HD intro and a 5 minute romp through the avatar creation process. Keep watching for more videos in the series coming later today, as we take a trip through the never before seen regions of the new dashboard and stop to check out the XNA Community Games as well as Xbox LIVE Parties, photo sharing and a depressing comparison of all the extra stuff available to someone who’s accessing LIVE from the United States. We’ll be right back after a short commercial break. And lunch… and dinner! Hit the jump for the videos, and do remember to check them out in High Quality mode…
