Rupmalya Kumar
Well i know it is an awesome handheld console where Nintendo is officially present. But in India the price is huge and no official warranty even though Flipkart claim they give warranty. And third reason for asking is that I already own a good gaming PC and Xbox 1 and PS4.And Portability is not a big deal for me.What's your opinion bros? And how much is the durability?Thanx in advance. Kazekage Gaara
Well, I have an N3DS XL, and it's awesome. It all depends on whether you really wanna play the games it offers. Since Nintendo is not officially present in India, you will NEVER get official warranty here. I had to import mine from Play Asia. I had to pay 6k customs. Some other IVG members imported theirs off Amazon UK and were lucky enough to slip by customs. In India, you can easily get NTSC version games (at least that's what I know) and I would suggest you get a NTSC console. You can get a good price in your local grey market. The durability of my N3DS is pretty good, but it all depends on how you take care of it What else you wanna know? Edit: A piece of advice, if you're buying a 3DS, make sure it's the "New 3DS" or "New 3DS XL" and not the old version. The Super Stable 3D on the N3DS XL is handsdown it's BEST FEATURE! which is not there on the Old 3DS models.
PhantomShade
1.Import it directly from Amazon US or PlayAsia way cheaper this way 2.Ninty products are very durable in general and here the companies who import and resell here add significant profit margin to there products so they become very expensive.same case for 3ds here. Kazekage Gaara
You can get a good price in a grey market. At least, that's how it is here in Mumbai. That way you can physically inspect the console and even save on custom duties
Bulovski
It's a solid console. I would rate it over the PS Vita any day. But...depends on what you want to play. If you want graphics and stuff you will not like the console. But if you want to play some of the best games ever designed for a handheld this is the thing to get. playstationdude
The price isnt too bad in grey market over here either. Hardly 2-3k over the US price.

You pay 2 to 3k extra and you save on shipping cost, shipping time, and even custom duties and get to manually inspect the console before purchase
Sach4life
If you want the ntsc version, don't get it from amazon us or even play-asia. It would be too expensive. Just get it from the grey market.
l33tmaniac
If you plan on getting the console, make sure you get Zelda - A Link Between Worlds as well One of the most fun titles you can play on 3ds (or any console for that matter).Edit - Would recommend the XL version any day. The screen is much better suited for 3d gaming.

Rupmalya Kumar
wait for NX I was thinking about that too but we don't know anything much about NX.Other than that it is targeting Emerging Market. And another thing about 3ds is that Citra emulator is progressing real fast. We won't know much about NX before next year.Only rumors are AMD might be developing the mobo and it might use Android or other linux base OS.And also Nintendo confirmed it won't replace 3DS or WIIU,
