^^ Nicely done! I think that's the next story boss for me.

The Silver Mines boss wasn't hard at all, but that area is basically Nioh's version of Blighttown. Great level design though.

I'm already looking forward to future playthroughs, so many build possibilities!

Area 2 now, just finished a twilight mission, sub-mission and a story mission.

Centipede must be a joke boss. this guy is the easiest boss i have seen in this game
he just chases and then

Bite>Projectile>stomp. then whack him.

i found that there are no elemental weakness in this game like water weak against fire monsters or vice versa, just corresponding ones dont do addtional damage like fire weps dont do additional weapons against wheel guy.

I just find stuff higher than mine and equip it. How do i find what level am i?

Neoz: you need to remember your level when you are at shrine. I am not sure if there is any other way during missions to find out your current level.

Elemental weakness is there. And you can clearly see on Yoki's who are weak against fire. If you throw 3 bombs on them, their bodies will start burning and that depletes their HP. Poison works effectively on human enemies. Throw poison at them and run around to see their HP decreasing. A small icon also appears next to enemy's HP when any elemental effect takes place.

The wheel guy is already a fire enemy, so damage from fire weapon itself will only do base damage. Use water weapon against it.

Just curious, what level were you when you went into twilight missions?

Which is better Bloodborne or Nioh?

Bloodborne is among my all-time favorite games. That said, I'm really enjoying Nioh. It feels fresh and the sense of discovery that had been missing in the last few Souls games (they had become predictable to some extent - except Bloodborne) is back. The game is deep and offers so many options and build possibilities, just going over the skill trees makes me dizzy with excitement. The level design is very good too, it's more Demon's Souls than Dark Souls, large areas with many shortcuts and optional paths. There's a ton of quality of life tweaks over the Souls formula which make the game a lot more accessible for newcomers.

When it comes to combat, Nioh is actually quite different from Soulsborne. The combat has a different rhythm to it, I find it closer to a character action game like Ninja Gaiden than Souls. But you don't need to master combos and be a pro, simple combos work well enough. Like I said earlier, some of the knowledge from Souls will help you at first, but as you play further you'll understand why Nioh's combat is different. It's also a lot faster than any of Souls games.

Nioh might just end up becoming my GOTY as well as find a place among my favorite games of all time. I'd still place Bloodborne over it though, mainly for it's art direction, story and setting. This is simply a personal preference though, everyone who loves action games, action RPGs and the Souls series MUST play this game. Games like Nioh come out rarely, don't miss it.

i know elemental debuffs are there but am talking about weakness, like fire against water or something cuz when facing Umi-bozu, i actually did more damage with Raikiri(Lightning) than my other sword(Fire).

Also, each element weapons debuffs the enemy like this i beleive

Fire-DOTS

Poison-DOTS

Thunder- Slow

Water- decrease defense

Wind- decrease defense.

I was level 26 when i did the Onyoki and Hino enma twilight missions, i dont if its just me but i saw some new attacks done by the boss in twilight especially Hino-enma, I definitly saw a new Umbrella combo

Haha as if Hino needed more attacks!

Tried the real Tachibana Muneshige fight last night, he kicked my a*s a few times before I called it a night. I know what I have to do but I guess I was too tired. Will try again today. The fake one is a lot easier lol.

Apparently people have already started figuring out cheese mechanics. The Sloth spell for example is utterly broken right now as it affects bosses and makes them trivial. There's also another ability combo that essentially gives you unlimited Living Weapon. Completing the game this way would really suck.

You are a legend NeoZ. level 26 and taking on twilight missions. I heard that mode is quite unforgiving.

I saw someone cheese Tachibana with a spear. Shot him in the head with a canon, he went down then he spammed spear, got behind his back and spammed again. 5 hits and he was dead  Plus it was on NG+ :P

Twilight Missions have a level requirement. There was one the other day that was level 30. I'm assuming the enemies scale accordingly.

As for Tachibana, yeah basically the fight is all about letting him use up his Ki so you can do a finisher / ground attack. Problem is that he can recover very fast and sometimes attacks even with no Ki. Plus NG+ means that the dude was probably very high level (hence high damage output) and we don't really know how enemies scale in NG. I'm sure that the fight won't go that way if you do that side mission at the suggested level for the first time.

Anyway, so what armor is everyone using? I crafted a full set of the Legendary Strategist Set along with the katana and it's serving me quite well so far. It's light, looks badass and has decent set bonuses. Man, the Fashion Souls potential in this game is through the roof, especially with the transmute option.
