Finished the main story missions. The last mission was epic! Boss rush followed by two other bosses and a super boss. Not to mention the level itself was great. I also liked the story more than I expected. It actually prompted me to look into the actual history, Japanese folklore and the people these characters are based on and it's all great stuff. I'm also glad that Nekomata is alive at the end!.

I still need to do the epilogue mission and the two double-boss fight side missions. I actually gave them a couple of attempts and in my opinion the Nobunaga/Yuki-Onna fight is slightly easier (I know most would think otherwise) but the size of the arena makes it much easier to separate the two and focus on one. I even managed to kill Nobunaga but got caught by one of Yuki-Onna's staff combos from off-screen just as I landed the killing blow. I don't have much HP and wear light armor so I can't survive more than 2-3 hits.

Apart from the dual-bosses I still think the hardest boss in the game is Hino-enma. She was the only one who managed to kill me a couple of times during the boss rush.

I still wouldn't call the game easy, it feels easy if you're experienced at stuff like Souls/BB or Ninja Gaiden. In my light armor I still get killed in 2-3 hits from normal enemies and most of the bosses have least one OHKO move. The key is not getting hit at all and I think by now it's become second nature.

I think the challenge level in the game is pretty decent. They have smartly put all of the really difficult fights in side missions so players don't feel like their progress is being blocked by an unfair encounter. I still panic when the game makes me fight something like two Raven Tengu at the same time.

I also love the level design - apart from a few bland levels, most of them have been amazing. The last mission I did (Defiled Holy Mountain) is probably my favorite so far.

Aren't ninja gaiden and sould totally different in terms of difficulty ? In souls games you can buff up using farming the same areas again and again(the game is designed to encourage farming like that) In NG you cannot farm your way up like that !

Always try to take down nobunaga first, if you damage yuki-onna 25 percent the fight will get really hard

Yes, they are different. However this is very much a Team Ninja game along with it's Souls elements. The combat has combos and encourages you to go on the offensive (unlike Souls). What I meant was if you can manage NG then Nioh's combat will come naturally. If you are familiar with Souls you'll still get by by using dodging and poking around enemies. Both styles work well enough. It's definitely more forgiving than either of the two games especially since you can create builds that are quite overpowered. I really like this aspect of Nioh, it doesn't alienate players and almost everyone can find a suitable play style.

@NeoZ, I know man, like I said, I even managed to kill him but YO showed up from off-screen. She was at 100% health so it wasn't even her bullshit grab attack. Anyway will try the fight again. Last night I was already too tired. The last mission is pretty exhausting (in a good way).

If anyone wants Iga or Red Demon armor set Divine for NG+, do let me know

I also have Onikiba Kgama with CTA - Dexterity A.

How would you trade? I've checked and you can't do trading by dropping items in Co-op...

You can use revenants for trading, add the person as a friend and die at a known location (preferably some side mission). Friends' graves are given priority and you get all of their equipped gear unlike other revenants.

^^ Nice. I plan to get it too. Finished the epilogue mission yesterday, somehow I really like the atmosphere in the

Tower of London

. The real final boss was a bit of a joke but the design was very cool... straight out of Bloodborne.

I'm definitely not done with the game though, really want to do Way of the Warrior and wrap up the two dual-boss side missions, plus the remaining Twilight Missions. Finding myself sidetracked by Horizon Zero Dawn.

And yeah I didn't use Sloth for any of the bosses, I did however use it during some of the Raven Tengu encounters in the final mission. It was getting tiresome fighting them near precarious drops.

what tyler said. I can drop my grave in the isle of demons in ng+ and you can fight my revnant and farm the loot. Do consider that you will get the default special effects and not the ones that I reforged. check /r/shinju in reddit, it has huge thread on trading weapons and armors.

If you are in my friend list, it becomes easy to identify the grave among others as a friend's grave has a yellow outline which differentiates from other graves.

can someone recommend me a good ninja build and stats to put..

single katana is just ok thought i could do a ryu hyabusha it's more like dark souls

btw iam level 72

I'm assuming by Ninja build you want to use Ninjutsu and ninja-like weapons (katana, dual katana, kusarigama). The stats you should focus on are HEART (single sword scaling), SKILL (dual swords scaling), DEX (for kusarigama and Ninjutsu).

That said, the game isn't as strict on stat allocation as Souls and it's very much gear dependent. Investing in a stat and using a weapon of another kind isn't as punishing as in Souls.

As for Ninjutsu, DEX is the most important stat as raising it increases your Ninjutsu capacity and gives you Skill Points to spend in the Ninjutsu skill tree. You can unlock throwables like kunai, shuriken, traps, various bombs as well as weapon buffs etc.

For a Ninja build the best armor is probably the Iga Jonin set which is usually dropped by Hanzo during the Dojo trials but can also be found as random drops/rewards elsewhere. Just keep farming him until you get a full set or the blacksmith plans to drop. The armor set has built-in buffs to Ninjutsu. Other armors also may randomly have them. Just use whatever works for you.

If you're looking for buffs/debuffs the Onmyo tree is far better. Weakness, Lifeseal, Deinvigorate, Carnage and the absolutely broken Sloth (which pretty much ruins the game and shouldn't be used). Plus all the elemental buffs...

Some of the better skills in the Ninjutsu tree are Poison Shurikens, the Poison weapon buff, the caltrops (forgot the in-game name) and the various bombs.

Also don't forget that upgrading a skill in either of the trees (I/II/III etc) doesn't actually increase the effect but allows you to equip more charges.

For my first playthrough I exclusively used swords (after trying all of the weapons I found it was the most balanced at least when you're learning), most of my points went into Heart, Magic, Spirit with a bit of Dex, Skill and Body. I completely ignored Strength and Stamina. Used the Legendary Strategist Set for most of the game (kept crafting newer versions as I leveled up). It isn't the best armor set but it kept me at A-Agility and the enemy/treasure sense is pretty useful. On NG+ I'll be experimenting with dual-swords and axe just for variety.

^^

those poison stuff doesn't work on yokai.also there is close to 75-100 dps defference between sword and kusurigama

what? poison works great on Yokais, especially the bombs or broths you craft from ninjutsu.

It definitely does. It takes 3 poison shurikens to poison a yoki (the standard horned yokai). For weapon buffs low stance is generally better for quickly applying status effects.

As for the dps difference it really depends on the weapon level and type. For example certain types of the same weapon (which you can tell apart by name) have higher base dps.

Nioh Platinum harder than BB?

About the same I'd say. Nioh is slightly easier except for one trophy that's a bit too grindy (but can be worked around using a glitch).

So I got a Yakasani Magatama yesterday (the accessory that reduces gear set requirements by one). This is definitely the best accessory in the game.

Here how I did it - do the Request from Ginchiyo mission in Way of the Warrior (NG+) which has a divine quality or lower accessory as a reward. This mission can easily be completed in about 30-60 seconds without fighting a single enemy. Basically the item needed for the mission objective is in one of three chests that spawn in fixed locations (look up a video on YouTube). You simply run and check each one and finish the mission. If you don't get the Yakasani Magatama as a mission reward, just do another run. The best part is that each completion also gives you 111,000 gold, so it's also a great way to farm money.

It took me around 20 minutes to get one, your mileage will vary though as it's still RNG. There's another way to get the accessory but you need the 4th region to be unlocked for that whereas this mission is in region 1 itself.

This also works in NG btw but the rewards will of course be scaled down.

It's also a great mission to farm divine gear from revenants as Ginchiyo is a beast and will help you take them down very quickly.
