Ne0
^^ thanks, but I rage quit that level using a himoragi fragment, the difficulty is ridiculous ! Towards the end they gang up on you like crazy.... Please tell me I don't have to face such sections in the main quest !! BTW, I wonder if there's any point to leveling up in between quests.... skill tree doesn't open up until you complete certain quests and despite leveling up life+ ki, the yokai does the same amount of damage to me everytime.... One Axe swing takes like 70% of the health !! Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk

Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk If you saw my video you'll notice I don't let them gang up on me (except for a couple of times), I always try to create space knowing where each one is and I'm extremely frugal with hits, like I only attack when I'm in the clear otherwise just dash around. I also used the layout of the area by constantly running up the platform and using that to split them up. I died a few times before clearing the mission but dying only helped me memorize the order and locations of the spawns and I was ready before they spawned. Like for example I go straight for the archer because he is a pain if you don't take him out asap. I left the revenant like dude for last because he is the hardest, has the most health and that way I could simply unleash the Living Weapon (which should be fully charged by the time you make it to the final wave if not earlier). Enemies do hit very hard but you have a lot of speed so most of time you can just dash past them. Use low stance if you want that extra speed. Also what is your agility rating? I found anything above A a pain to play with. Are you using heavy armor that's weighing you down? I also read a few posts back that you prefer using the kusarigama, which in my personal opinion counts as an advanced weapon and is hard to use (high risk/high reward type of weapon). I suggest using the standard sword or a spear while you're learning the systems. The sword is a lot more balanced - a good all rounder weapon that works in almost every situation. I think you're just getting frustrated so just relax and don't worry about dying over and over, it's the same thing as Souls, every death will help you learn something. You're already past Hino-enma so the worst is already behind you. And yeah the main missions are easier than the sub-missions. They've put most of the truly challenging stuff in the sub-missions. And like I've said before, the game is only difficult up to a certain point after which you start steamrolling through normal enemies. Level ups do matter but they don't have immediate noticeable effects. The game is still partially skill-based. And post-game it kinda changes into a gear-based one. But still if you master the combat (just the basics) you should be good. Epicnamebro (popular Souls streamer) has actually beaten the game without leveling up, so it's very much possible. I haven't tried it myself mainly because the game has a bug with multiple save files. I wonder if nioh is among the top 10 most difficult games of all time ! Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk No way man. Ninja Gaiden Black is far more difficult and there are tons of platformers that are just sadistic (if we're counting other genres). I'd say Nioh is actually easier than all of the Soulsborne games. I am the great toad brawl. I find this f**ker difficult .. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk The main mission with him as the final boss or the sub-mission? I found Giant Toad to be one of the easier bosses in the game. He gives you plenty of opening for attacks and most of his big hits are easy to avoid by simply running in circles around him.

Ne0
Went back again and completed the overlord side quest with multiple yokai .... This time used salt on the giant and the axe yokai.... Damn it's powerful, drains their ki like crazy ! Got some nice rewards though looks like the effort was worth it ! Now onto the next quest, seems like a short one, found the boss already (nue) and opened both the the shortcuts .... BTW, is there any reward for finding all the kodamas ? Would prefer searching for them before the boss fight ! Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk

So yeah, hunting them down is almost always worth it. Do note that the elixir count resets when you move to a different region and you have to find the kodama there. Some gear pieces/sets and guardian spirits have "kodama sense" which shows them on the mini-map making it easier to find them. Also Nue is more of a mini-boss, the mission isn't over after you defeat it.

Django_3101
PvP Details In the latest issue of Famitsu, Nioh Director Yasuda Fumihiko shared more on the upcoming PvP mode. According to the director, the mode will sport a straightforward 1 vs 1 battle, where the first player to win two rounds wins the match, as well as a 2 versus 2 battle, which sees two players team up against 2 others. Several stages will be available in the PvP such as the Dojo and a few others which will allow players to take advantage of terrain features. Speaking about items and skills from the single player portion, Fumihiko confirmed that most will be usable, but some will have some properties changed. more about DLC here
Tyler
I can already see PVP being broken if they don't find a way to normalize gear. That said... new modes, new missions, new weapon, new skins... time for me to jump back in!
